The only complaint is THE PACKAGING. I realize it shipped economy and almost 2 thousand miles but from other reviews I knew this could arrive damaged. I crossed my fingers and hoped. Mine has a few gouges where shippers dragged it, but not to point having to return so I am lucky. Remedy lifetime? Strap cardboard to boat bottom before wrapping with double plastic.

Stable Kayak, Great Exercise

This is a very stable and well-built kayak. It has a handle strap on both ends for easier handling. The seats are easily adjustable for a 1- or 2-person configuration. I have taken it several times on the South Florida Intracoastal where big boats make big waves. This kayak handled those waves with no problem, even when parallel to the waves. It is a little on the heavy side, but I load it on the car and get it to the water by myself using leverage and a beach cart. This kayak is fun to use and exceptionally good exercise.

Great Price and super stable

Love this Lifetime Kokanee kayak. thought we were done with kayaking but just had to get them again. I ride with an 80lb pup so need the stability while he moves around. Wife has 2 x 25lb pups with her and she needs the stability to feel more at ease. so stable, my pup jumps out and i can lift him back onto the kayak with no issues. Only a 4 star due to it being very basic with no paddles. We immediately upgraded them with fish finder, paddle holder, better seats, better port hole covers and rod holders. We do all the work ourselves so saves us a ton of money.

Arrived Late and Damaged - Good Customer Service

The Kayak arrived 3 days late, which is fine but I had to contact the freight company for a new ETA. Upon getting it out of the plastic, the color was really muddy. I did get the lemongrass fusion but it was mostly green and the yellow that was on there was mixed with green and looked brown. Then I noticed the bow was cracked and there was a big gash in the side. I called Walmart customer service right away and they were helpful. Got the kayak on Friday and it was picked up on Monday (today). Though the guy on the phone said once it was received to the warehouse then they would send the replacement. Though my order details say once it's received they'll process my refund. Hopefully they just send the replacement so I don't have to order it again myself. Hoping my new one has better color and the shipping company doesn't damage it.

Almost 5 stars!!!

This kayak is just what we were looking for! It's well made and easily accommodates the two of us and a dog. It feels very stable in the water and is easy to maneuver. The reasons I did not give it 5 stars - 1. The seat backs are a bit flimsy and not comfortable for long excursions and 2. The scupper hole under the rear seat will leave you with a wet behind and we haven't found a plug that seals it completely. Otherwise, I highly recommend it!

Paddles NOT included!!

Paddles NOT included!! I ordered this kayak today for pick up. I have been waiting to purchase it for months. They brought out the kayak with no paddles and said they aren't included. Very disappointed!! If I would have realized that it did not come with paddles, I would have ordered from Amazon earlier so by the time the Kayak came, I would have paddles also. I thought I would be able to use immediately but unfortunately I now have to wait for paddles. I live in a small town with stores that do not carry paddles, so its not like I am able to go get them today, it may be weeks before delivery.

Outstanding customer service

We have owned this kayak for almost 8 years. Aside from the seat back and clips that attach it eventually breaking, we have had zero problems. I contacted customer service and they had a shipment (at no cost to us) in the mail within 24 hours with replacement parts. Myself and multiple of my children use this kayak for summer fun and fishing. I love using it with my toddlers because it is SO stable, you almost cannot turn it over even if you wanted to. Excellent for a family style kayak adventure on the lake, or those who prefer more stability. We have even taken this one to the ocean twice and used for fishing, it withstands the waves and proved very useful for dropping bait. Only downside that comes with the stability, of course, is it is quite heavy to move. Luckily, ours does not go far.

[Rewarded Review] Good quality, but heavy

Really like this kayak. Well built and tons of fun in the water. I like the flexible seating configuration. We can easily get three people on this thing, no problem. I took my boys fishing and had me and two boys on it fishing together and it was great. Plenty of room. Stable on the water. It is super heavy though, so it is a beast to lug around. Most kayaks and can I put on the roof of our suburban by myself, but this one I need help. So just be aware. It says it only weighs 77 lbs, but this thing is at least 100 lbs, no joke. Makes it really sturdy on the water. Also, I don’t like that there are drain holes in the boat. It causes water to seep in and gets my butt wet. Not a huge deal, but I like to stay dry ya know? Otherwise it’s a great boat. Good investment since these last forever and hold their value. Used ones sell for the same price as new.

Great entry level kayak!

I bought this Kayak the summer of 2018. I used it every weekend and had lots of fun. This thing is heavy and hard to load on top of my SUV. My buddies have lighter kayaks and they paddle once or twice and they are gliding accross the water. This monster does not glide...if you want to move you gotta paddle. Anyways, its a good entry level kayak and is still loads of fun. Comes with two seats but has a clip for a 3rd seat and is big enough to fit all three comfortably. Well worth the price.

Good kayak.

I bought this for my daughters to share until my youngest gets comfortable enough to have her own. They’ve used it a couple of times (13 y/o, 5’9” and 7 y/o, 4’8”) and had no issues and fit fine. I also took my 7 year old out (I’m 6’) and we had no issues.

Family adventures await

These kayaks are great for family adventures. They are heavy (require 2 adults to lift!) but so stable in the water. I was able to take two kids (5 and 8) out on the bay and they were jumping off and climbing back in without issue. Warning your butt will get wet due to the scupper holes, but the self draining is a huge plus! These boats are well worth the price. In the first two weeks we’ve had them we’ve been on 4 daylong trips with one adult and one or two kids plus a cooler and fishing gear or beach chairs in the boat. Bay, rivers, and lakes. All handled perfectly. Perfect starter kayaks for families. Well worth the money.

Good tandem kayak

I read a lot of reviews on different kayaks before deciding on this one. I'll give my two cents on the pros and cons of this model:

Great for paddling solo or double!

We paddled around a lake on this kayak for 3 days and quite enjoyed it. As many other reviewers mentioned, it’s not designed to go fast but rather for its capacity and stability. While it’s no problem for 2 of the 180lbs+ members of my family to paddle together on the Lifetime Kokanee, I find it easier to navigate as a single kayak due to the lighter load. Overall, I highly recommend this kayak if you want a well-priced sit-on kayak with the flexibility of paddling double.

Excellent and Affordable Kayak.

An excellent open kayak that comfortably fits two grown adults. Great construction and like its name, will last a Lifetime.

Great kayak for the family.

I would give it a 5 stars, but the lack of a handle in the back to carry it was the only negative point. However, I added one myself and now two people can easily transport it. I bought a handle online and use rivets to secure. Stainless steel screws would work too. Make sure to add “goop sealant if you choose to add a handle. The kayak is not the fastest, but extremely stable. The seats are actually pretty comfortable, however if we went on it for an extended period of time, I’d get a foam seat like the one we use in bleachers. I found the kayak too large to secure safely on truck roof with J rack type. I have purchased the Thule 881 system to transport it sitting flat.

Decent Kayak for the Cost

I bought this kayak for double duty as a tandem for the family and a solo for myself. It is a little small for a true tandem, but when the front seat is removed and the rear seat is moved to the center position, it works well as a solo. The nice thing about this short tandem boat is that it's easy to haul in the bed of a truck, no rack required.
