WOW! Great product.

Fantastic. Work load cut in half. Use with the quick dap suggested. Follow directions and you’ll be praised on how well it adds the cherry on the cake for your DIY project.

These are ceiling tiles that are glued up. Holding them even the shortest time is a bit difficult but easily done and effective. We are very pleased with the appearance of these tiles over a drywall ceiling with loose tape. It makes a practical and rich looking ceiling. We installed them on the vertical for a more dramatic effect.

Returned them as I needed to install in a 6’ x 6’ area. Because these were 1.6’ x 1.6’ I could only use 4 tiles with 12 other small pieces. Purchased PVC tiles that were 2’ x 2’ and they worked great. These tiles were very thin and even though it says you can paint them I don’t think they would have looked very good after painting. Perhaps the ones they sell that are already painted would look fine.

Returned. I went a different direction because I felt if I hit them with anything they would dent and look terrible. After finishing my ceiling with something else, I still had trim to put up on the walls and around the ceiling. My ceilings are very low and I hit my ceiling many times with trim so I am very glad I returned them otherwise my ceiling would have looked awful! So unless you don't have any chance of hitting your ceiling with anything (trim, pool sticks...) I think it would be alright. But if you have low ceilings like I do, I would not recommend.

They are styrofoam

Didn't realize the product was styrofoam. The least bit of pressure will leave a mark (such as a fingernail). We tried to install one with gorilla glue and it would not stick, so if you're planning on using them, make sure you use the high tack glue that is recommended. Only positives are that they are very lightweight and easy to cut.

Such a easy alternative

love these. I put them up on some ugly popcorn ceilings that i didnt want to scrape and make a huge mess. I used the suggested glue and they went up soooo easily. And they look good. They are sooo easy to cut to shape around corners and lights. I used a box cutter and it worked good.

Bad. Waste of money. styrofoam take out box

Waste of $300+. Material is exactly the same as styrofoam food takeout containers. Very fragile; easily dents and breaks. Difficult to paint! Required 1 coat primer and 2-3 coats paint - by hand with a brush to not damage tiles and still was streaky. After a weekend of painting 8 of 24 tiles, I gave up and threw the whole carton out.

Not at all what I expected...

Picked these up at the store after I ordered them online. They arrived quicker than expected but...what was in the box surprised me. The tiles are cheap styrofoam...they are 2x2 but very very thin. I ordered 56 of these and all 56 together are only maybe 15" thick and weigh a total of maybe 4lbs (with the box). Very very disappointed considering they cost me $250. This is approximately $5 worth of styrofoam. Don't order these, they are a joke. The second photo shows a pack of 8 that are 2 finger widths thick.

Trouble getting glue to stick to the tiles.

The tiles were fine, but it was almost as if there is a very, very smooth surface that not all adhesives cling to.

Pros and Cons

Pros—Good low cost easy to install ceiling alternative…very stylish. Cons are EXTREMELY flimsy…it’s not even rigid styrofoam and consequently will not stand up to ANY abuse nor be readily cleanable once up. Very easy to gouge or damage. This one is pure white styrofoam and I wouldn’t install this unless I were planning to paint it…which wouldn’t be easy. Their antique colored versions are much more interesting than this blank piece.

Shipping was fast. These ceiling tiles are such a great idea to cover up popcorn ceilings. Easy to glue up. One problem us that they don't all line up as some of the edges on some tiles are more compressed than others. The shrink wrap bends corners in & it's not easy to undo that. There are gaps in-between some tiles. I'll try caulking but the lines between the tiles are so uneven in places I'm not sure it will work. Otherwise, it would look great.

Polystyrene (foam) tiles make for a great look.

Line Art style foam ceiling tiles give a coffered ceiling look easily. Lightweight and easy to cut using a utility or craft knife, the snappable type blades work well for nice cuts. If you want to install recessed lights it would be advisable to find the room center and make chalk lines, install tiles from the center outward until you get to where you want the lights. Then dry-fit tiles but probe the locations the lights should go so they are centered within the tiles. This prevents a random look that differs in each light location. Painting the tiles after installation is also advised. I chose gloss white and like the results.

super thin, bowed, require 10x the glue as others

i got two different tiles, the cheapest ones are these squares. they're so thin that they were bowed in the box, and i'm using ten times as much glue to keep them from falling down. the other ones, which are just like these but floral, are much thicker and not bowed, and only require one large dollop in each corner. these cheaper ones require full coverage with adhesive and then you have to keep returning to press on them. ii glued eight of these tiles in the same time as 43 of the others.

Looks super cheap, very thin

The material looks exactly like a to go food box. The foam has the same texture and flexibility. You would find in a to go food box. You might get a cheeseburger in

Adios, popcorn ceiling! I’ve been looking at these tiles for over a year. Finally decided to order and see if they would work to cover my popcorn ceilings. I was a little spectacle but figured why not try. I am soooo glad I did. All you need is a utility knife, caulk gun for the special adhesive, and I used a swiffer dust mop head to ply additional pressure once I got off the ladder. The photos do not do it justice. I am so happy with the result. And I did it all by MYSELF! I would recommend buying extra adhesive. I just didn’t want to wake up and find the ceiling tiles on floor, so I went a little heavier on that. So happy with the result!
