Very difficult to assemble

Nice looking, but a beast to assemble. My husband and I have assembled many, many items over the past 24 years and this one was the most difficult. In the end, we were not able to attach the doors due to the holes not matching up. I ended up using baskets in place of the doors. This is not exactly ideal for the purpose I intended.

Defective doors

I was so looking forward to this piece. When it arrived it was in tact and fairly easy to put together UNTIL the doors. The whole reason we purchased this piece is for the storage on the bottom. The doors never lined up correctly. We tried for two days and countless hours despite the hinge having adjustable screws to make the right fit. It just never worked no matter what we tried. Ultimately in the end the doors are strategically placed to look like they function but you can't open the doors or the whole thing falls apart. There is stilla gap on the right and center doors that just make me crazy! We are very disappointed but it is what it is. We are also very handy people that have put countless pieces of furniture together without any issues for the record.

Much better quality than expected!

I’d been looking for just the right shelving unit for years to fill a large wall, and this was the perfect choice. I hired someone to put it together, and he did it by himself in just over 2 hours, saying it was very well made. It is a substantial piece of furniture for sure. A couple of little things took away one star. The front wood “cap” pieces on the 2 vertical shelf Dividers were about an inch short, leaving a gap at the top. And the 2 main side pieces have an unfinished edge at the top. Now, it’s 6 feet tall, so nobody will be peeking at the top of the unit, but still.... the cupboard door mechanism is tricky. 2 doors were great, the third tougher to center. But all in all, this feels like “real” furniture rather than flat pack.

Nice product, worth the money. Very sturdy!

Order was delivered quickly....SUPER HEAVY. Putting this together is easy enough but you must pay attention to the little details as I had to take pieces apart several times for beong backwards or upside down (I am no carpenter). But after only about two hours I had it totally put together. Word of advice: put the back on it. I tried to leave it off so that you could see the wall behind it amd it was quite wobbly. Once I put the back on it was so much more sturdy. I used different knobs because I didnt care for the goddy gold ones. It was exactly like it looked in the pictures. It males a lovely addition to the room and I love that there is storage with doors for less appealing items. I would definitely purchase again.

Love it! The color is exactly as pictured and it's a well made, sturdy piece of furniture. My husband and I took approximately 5 hours to put this together, following the easy to follow instructions with great pictures to guide you. It was delivered on time and the packaging was fantastic - very secure, with all the pieces and hardware labeled. The key is to identify all the parts before starting and take your time. It's well worth it.

A chore to assemble

I bought this because it was perfect for what I needed it for I was excited to get it. I love the size and all the shelving and storage and the look of it BUT this thing was a headache to put together. The instructions are definitely not the greatest not exactly as thorough as they should have been so much so that I had to walk away from it for a couple of days and had some assistance finishing it. My assistant even said wow these instructions aren’t the greatest. Needless to say it’s put together and I love it but unless you have some good patience and can figure stuff out for yourself or have someone helping you then you might wanna pass on this one especially for the price.

Heavy, sturdy and solid unit

Is this an heirloom piece? Absolutely not. But it's a solid, good looking shelf that certainly solved my dilemma of where to display my favorite books & pottery. I like that I can arrange the shelves at the heights I need to accommodate my taller coffee-table books. The 3 compartments with doors hides my busy stuff (puzzles, games, etc) and I've added a couple baskets for knitting & other small projects. Pretty easy to follow the directions and assemble. I didn't miss any steps, no pieces missing, and every piece is precision cut to fit.

Packaging / Pieces & instructions

Very impressed with all aspects of this product. Packaging was compact and the product well protected with outside corner reinforcing on the bigger pieces. Great to find all the pieces were included and all the parts/pieces for construction. In addition all the holes were perfectly aligned. Finally, the instructions were clear and carefully coordinated to make the construction easy and not very painful, and in fact the few humorous comments during the construction caused a chuckle from me and my wife. It is surely easier to have two people putting everything together than trying to do it alone. Only thing that might be improved would be placing ID stickers or more written designations on the edges of the smaller pieces, but not really a big thing. Very, very, pleased with the entire experience.
