Soft and okay

Well, it's nice. Looks good. Super soft. It didn't wash very well though. We have a brand new washer and drier. I followed the wash instructions to the letter. Washed it alone, no zippers or anything in the load. And yet, when this blanket came out, it had several pulled threads across the blanket. Not many, it's not too noticeable. Yet. But I imagine it will probably get worse with use and further laundering. This seems to be a very common problem with Target's cotton blankets. Bought a cheaper version of this a couple of years ago and it was wrecked after only one wash. So far, this one is ok. Finger's crossed it doesn't get worse. I simply don't get it though, I grew up with cotton blankets like this and they almost never had pulled threads. The rare pulled thread or two was on 10 year-old blankets that had been used for blanket forts, dragged around the house, stepped on, tossed in the car for long trips, hung outside to dry periodically, survived two moves, and so on. They were lived in. One wash resulting in several snags? *sigh* (Snags on what, I don't have a clue.) Overall, I can recommend it but, launder with caution.
