Great Chair

Bought this chair as an upgrade for my old “baseball chair”. Absolutely love it, the sunshade is amazing and works perfect. The only complaint I can say is the chair is heavier then I expected and how my packaged was packed and delivered. Then than that I would recommend it!

Great chair!

Awesome chair for this soccer mom. Highly recommend. It’s comfortable and great shade. The only dislike is the drink holder doesn’t hold a hydroflask or any larger cup.

Garbage

I purchased two of these at Academy two months ago. I’ve only used them twice. One of them I’ve had a difficult time closing since I purchased it. It will only close halfway. The second one started doing the same thing yesterday so now they won’t even fit in my trunk. Save your money and buy something else!!!!

I really like the chair but I wish the back of the seat was higher and had a little pillow. I’m only 5’6 and my head doesn’t touch the back of the chair. To really relax I put a small pillow behind my head and scooch down n the chair.

Highly recommend

We love these chairs - they are comfortable and easy to carry around. We use them mostly for our daughter's softball games. The shade really helps when it is so hot and there are no trees to sit under.

Great chair

This is a great chair. The rocking feature is wonderful. The sun-shade is also a great feature. I didn't think I would like the sun-shade too much, however, at baseball/softball games, it works very well. The only negative about this chair is that it is pretty heavy. To me, it's well worth it and I recommend.

Would have given five stars but….

I would have given them five stars because they are super comfortable chairs, however one of the pieces covering the spring on the back leg has become detached and is a hazard when sitting down. If that cover isn’t over the spring you will flip backwards. So unfortunately I can’t give them 5 stars because they are really comfortable!

A great chair

My daughter and her husband got these for Christmas and really like them. My daughter says they are a little heavy compared to other similar (non-rocking) chairs, but my son-in-law says they are fine and not too heavy. They rock well and the sunshade is very nice to have. It is a sturdy chair.

Not Max Relaxing

Not as Max Relaxing as I hoped. I wanted a chair to curl up into, but instead I slide down right to the front edge of it. I am 5'7" and 125 lb for reference. Other concerns: it looks like it will be slow to dry if it gets wet. The cup holder is tiny. The photo shows a person sitting in the chair holding a large drink bottle that could not possibly fit into this little holder. It is heavy to carry. Pros: it seems sturdy. If I had purchased this at a store, I would take it back. Mailing it back will be difficult and costly, so I will probably keep it, but I would not make this purchase again.

I recently purchased two of

I recently purchased two of these chairs for my wife and myself. We have three boys in youth football, so these chairs have become very handy. My wife told me recently how much she enjoyed her chair by saying "You can use it after you pry it from my cold, dead hands". Needless to say, she loves it!

Love the GCI pod!

I needed a new chair to watch my daughter play softball. I love the rocking feature and sun guard shade.

This is my second GCI

This is my second GCI chair. Was so happy to see a rocker with a sun shade (if only one of the arm chair rockers had a sunshade!). Unfortunately, out of the box there are two small spots on the sunshade that look like they are on their way to being holes. Overall, though, the chair seems well made and pretty comfortable. Perfect chair to rock in with my infant for the summer!

I really like this chair! The pod shape is very comfortable to curl up, it feels similar to sitting in a hammock. The shade is great for reading, or doing anything that can be interfered with by the suns glare. The color is accurately represented in the picture. It's bright and pretty, but it does not detract from a natural landscape. The only downside I have found with this chair is it can be difficult to find a place to put it. The base of the rocker requires a flat (or fairly even) surface, making it hard to use on a rocky beach or uneven terrain! That being said, I love the rocking function and I think this is one of the coolest chairs I've ever used.

Love this rocker chair with the sun shade! This is the perfect chair for those long days at the ball field! Absolutely love this! I think my husband might be secretly jealous! I was worried about folding it and getting it back in the bag - but no need to worry, it was so simple - a piece of cake! Its a comfortable seat. I thought I might miss the arm rests, but nope. This is a great product! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

I have only used my

I have only used my pod rocker twice, but have been very happy with it. The sun shade was great at my granddaughter's ballgame when it was still 98 degrees at 6 pm. With the extreme wind we had that evening, I did keep a hand on the sun shade as I wasn't sure how much wind it could take. I have been asked about the chair and am guessing that GCI Outdoor will have some more sales in our area.

Love the pod rocker!

I am so happy that I found this chair! A good travel chair that is comfy and folds is key to summer-long adventures. The pod rocker folds into its own carrying case (extra tip: I put the case flat on the ground and my dog loves to lay on it away from some of the crawling ants and things). It is simple to push on the 4 corners of the chair and it opens right up. I immediately noticed that there are some extra shocks on the chair. This adds some weight so this chair might not be great for backpacking very far but it is still certainly carryable. 2 legs in front stabilize the pod rocker in a secure position. The first time I went to rock it I felt like I was falling over - there is a gap before you settle onto the flat base that allows the rocking. Once on this extra base, the shock compresses allowing you to rock your heart out! This transition from stable to rocking was easy to get used to and provides a solid base for eating/activity vs. rocking. This isn’t a chair that rocks on its own. You apply consistent force to rock. The sun shade is a retractable part that can rest behind your seat out of the way. It is really easy to click up above your head at different angles. I so often find myself in places without much shade that this is a feature I will continue to enjoy! When it came time to leave camp, the chair was easy to compress and slide into the carrying bag - no struggles at all. The arm rests are not a perfect fit for my body geometry but didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the pod rocker. Tucked under one of the arms I found a cup holder (big enough for my large coffee container) and a slim pocket perfect for my phone. I did enjoy one extra feature that the wide chair provided room for. The chair will allow you room to rock so I used this to turn the chair into a sort of recliner. I propped my feet on a table, scooted my butt forward in the chair and rocked back. My head was now supported by the top of the chair and my feet were up. Perfectly cradled for recovering after a long hike with my dog! Although you might see in the photo that my dog seems to like the pod rocker too. Maybe I need another one for her :) The material in the pod rocker feels like it will keep me sitting comfortable for the rest of the summer and in years to come.

Bought two of these chairs for our grandkids ballgames. They are so comfortable! We love having the option of the shade. We have gotten many compliments from others on the chairs and everyone wants to know where we got them. They are great because they do not have that annoying bar behind your knees that starts hurting after sitting in the chair for a prolonged time.
