I realize these curtains. They are more heavy than I expected, but I was not thinking about the material they were made out of and the length. I ordered the first pair and was upset to see it had a red mark on the bottom. It looked like some drew on it with a marker. Then, I also noticed the hem coming out around the top where the rod goes. Even so, the color and material were so beautiful. I put in a product complaint and received a replacement panel to I just decided to keep both panels. It turned out wonderfully.
These are absolutely perfect for my new home. I have a three part window in my sunken living room with high vaulted ceilings. The curtains are quality made, thick material and completely blockout light. I used four panels for my living room, so they do have some weight to them. Make sure to have sturdy curtain rods.
Very thick and luxurious-- and does a great job with the Black out too. We placed in our 2nd home-- in both bedrooms. They are heavy-- so we needed extra hardware to keep the rods from pulling down. We paired with the Wayfair basics sheer rod pocket panel.
These Valet blackout curtains are highly effective for blocking out all sunlight, as well as keeping the heat out as I live in a desert community. They are very heavy and extremely well-made. I would highly recommend them. I bought them in white is more of an eggshell color, but perfect for my bedroom. Would highly recommend.
Like most velvet these days, it is a low pile - almost like microfiber. However, the fabric is thick and well-woven and the dye/color is beautifully sophisticated. Even with the light color I purchased, they block light perfectly. Very pleased with this purchase and had an even bigger impact on improving the look and feel of the room than I hoped.
These curtains are luxurious, elegant, beautiful! I ordered some for one room and then ordered more! They are heavy-weight and velvety so they both look and feel very high-end. Also, they are true “blackout” curtains—they do block out all light, which is great for a bedroom.
I am very happy with these curtains. Very good quality especially for the price. They are lined so they look good from outside the house as well.. They truly do blockout the light. I hung them so they turn back to the wall. So only light still getting in is over the top. Considering adding a valance. Sleeping very well and my room looks nice. I still need to steam the and train them to fold properly. They are made so you can either use hooks or the loops or just run a rod through the top fold. For my purposes I had to sew the rod opening closed so it did not gape open and fall over. I may end of sewing some sort of pleat in them so I don’t have to adjust how they are hanging every time they open and close.
These curtains are beautiful, they are very heavy. Based on the weight, I did have to order stronger curtain rods to replace current ones. The gold color of these velvet curtains is extremely vibrant and beautiful. I purchased two sets. The blackout of these definitely keeps my bedroom light out and allows for a great night sleep. I highly recommend these.
Love love love these curtains!! The fabric is gorgeous, the curtains are thick and heavy, which is what I wanted for thermal insulation. They make a huge difference! The fabric feels luxurious and regal. Absolutely love! Bought another set in white for a different room. Highly recommend!
Just put these up and wow!! They are HEAVY, and SO high end looking. Nothing cheap about them. The fabric is luxe and mat, not shiny. The stitching is perfect, they are lined. They just look like curtains should look. They're packaged nicely, not wrinkly at all. I got Diva Cream and the color is exactly what it looks like online. No need to look further, I'll be putting them in every window of my house.
These curtains are stunning! Soft, thick and plush. Exactly what I wanted. They really elevate my living room and they block out light and help regulate the temp too!! They hang beautifully. These are the 108 inch ones because I have really tall ceilings. I searched for a long time and returned several sets before landing on these. I’m so pleased! Well worth the price.
The price is wonderful and the curtains are well constructed. I ordered 120 inch length panels in the colorway Misty White. Unfortunately whomever packaged these managed to leave dirty gray smudges in several areas throughout but mostly along the top front tab borders. Thankfully the dirt was easily removed with dyeless Ivory dish soap applied with a gentle rub and a clean wet cloth. There are also a few imperfections in the nap of the velvet throughout. I think that's to be expected with such low cost polyester velvet manufactured in China. Still, they are a nice look especially after embellishing with a lovely curtain trim along the leading edge. Overall I am quite happy with the look for this low budget price.
These are lovely, well made, and heavy curtains. The header is nicely stiff and not saggy, the weights in the hem allow them to hang straight without curling, and the velvet is soft and supple. The packaging wrinkles came out well after only 5 minutes in a warm dryer with a damp washcloth. I ordered the Dreamland Blue, which is a rich, deep, not-quite-navy blue. They do an excellent job of darkening the room. Very pleased.
Beautiful curtains! I had asked a question to compare the Varsity Blue and Dreamland Blue. Based on the answer from Wayfair, I initially purchased the Varsity Blue. Varsity is more of an antique blue. It is not turquoise, but has a hazy gray sheen. I then ordered the Dreamland and it is exactly the color I was hoping for. These curtains are nicely lined and perfectly weighted. I will be ordering another set in a different color for another room.
Great quality and price. These are heavy and truly blackout, not room darkening. The liner is white and looks great from outside the house. What I've learned about room darkening velvet drapes is they look cheap when light comes through them. These are the ones you want if you're looking for velvet drapes. Also, everything in our living room/dining room is vintage MCM and the apple cider gold ones look period correct without being kitsch.
While the curtain is certainly high quality and does an excellent job blocking the sun, I found the item's presentation misleading. All of the pictures depict a pair of curtains together, and when ordering the item, the quantity says "one". I was under the impression that "one" meant a set of curtains together, so imagine my shock when I opened my package to find it was just a single curtain by itself. Which I can't really use nor does it look good by itself. I have to return it, and now the color i ordered is on back-order, so trying to just order a second one would take longer. Be careful when ordering!
Thes are really nice curtains with a luxurious feel. They’re thick, have some weight but not too heavy, and block out the light well. I love that it has both the tabs and the option to use rings. I will say that if I use rings though, I’m worried that the stitching is not going to hold for the rings but maybe it will be okay.
I'm really happy with these curtains. We were replacing old, custom silk curtains, which were beautifully made, but I couldn't afford custom made and didn't want to make them myself. I checked Wayfair's stock and saw these, and was impressed with the description which included thermal, sound-reducing, blackout, etc. I wanted some sort of velvet, and these seemed to fit the bill, so to start I ordered two panels of 50x84 for one window. I was really pleased with the weight (approx. 5 lbs. per panel), the polyester velvet is quite nice, and the color, a kind of old ivory, doesn't look too dark. They really did reduce the sound, helped perhaps a degree or two with temp. (NYC winters), are real blackout, which is nice in combo with some blackout shades I have, and the feel of the material is quite nice. I then ordered two more panels (winter sales really helped with the price for all of them) for our other living room window. I wish I could have gotten these in a longer length, but one window has a radiator and these would block the heat, but the drape is quite nice. I just used the pole pockets, but I can see they would hang nicely the other two ways available. We're just really happy we got them.
Beautiful! Love how they feel and that they have the white liner. Very happy with my purchase. I bought the sophomore gold in a 50x96 and its like a beautiful marigold color. Packaged nicely and arrived early )
These curtains are worth the investment! Stunning, just stunning. They create such a luxurious feeling while adding texture to the room. Love them so much! They aren’t 100 blackout, but they’re close. We have blinds on the windows and then these are closed at night, and the room stays completely dark even if it’s sunny out.
