Really Great Looking Planter Box that can be used in a number of ways! The 18 inch Terra Cotta Color Box can be used in many ways like sitting in a window, on a porch or deck plus hanging from your railing or fence. The Planter can be removed from the Black strong metal box holder for mounting or planting. It is deep and comes with a water catching tray under it to help keep your plants watered where every you wish to sit it, hang it or mount it. Everything comes preassembled waiting on you to add the soil, plants and location you decide!

The Perfect Balcony Box

I chose the Bloem 18 in. Lucca Red Terra Cotta Resin Balcony Box to put on my balcony and hold my herb plants I wanted to plant. The watering basin and the pre drilled holes sold me on getting this planter box as well as the durability of the resin plastic. The weather can be a huge factor in breaking down all kinds of planting materials, as there is a lot of salt in the air. This will not only hold up in these weather conditions, but also not let the color fade away over time. This is perfect and also looks beautiful.

This terra cotta resin planter is AWESOME, looks great, also weather, UV resistant; it is also self-watering, which is good for both you and your plant(s)! Flowers add something special to a balcony, deck, or other railing; they add beautiful color, and in a major way. This opening for this planter is 18" long, 8" high, 7.5" wide, and it has a great design. It is large enough to serve as a planter for plants that will get fairly large (geraniums), and has space for a bunch of them (ie. geraniums). I will fill mine with a combination of geraniums and marigolds, which will look awesome. I love that it has a reserve beneath it to store a reservoir of water for self-watering, which will be great for my plants; that reserve area also has a spout for any spillover/excess. The metal frame is solid, strong. I expect this planter to look OUTSTANDING filled with flowers, add flowers, loads of color where there previously was none. Even if you don't have space for a regular garden, if you have a balcony or a deck with a railing, you could inject beautifully colorful flowers to light up that space. I also love that it is carefree, no painting or other maintenance; it is made of resin, which is a form of plastic, in this case heavy duty plastic.

LONGER LASTING WATER SAVING PLANTER

We hang flower pots like this off our deck balcony every spring and summer and this is nice because it's resin and won't decay over time and it has a reservoir that holds water which helps keep the soil moist during dryer times and it helps save water by not having to water as much.It also comes with a nice wire holder that fits well over a top rail that's not over two inches wide. The only caution I have with these reservoir type planters is that your plant roots can rot if your prone to over watering as there isn't a drain at the bottom. If you are prone to doing that you can always drill holes in the bottom to be sure that won't happen.

Very well made planter

Although it's off season for planters here in northern New England, this window/balcony box will definitely be put to good use when weather permits. It is well made, rugged build and deep. The heavier metal frame used to hang it is not flimsy so no concerns about it falling. The body of the planter is made of resin with several drainage holes and a full catch tray on the bottom. Very Good!
