Performs well, programming is easy
This is a fairy simple thermostat but it has a lot of options. I bought one a few months ago and liked it so much I bought the same one when I decided to upgrade the second thermostat in my house. I know others have rated it low but it is working well for me. You can select either a weekday and weekend programming, or program 7 days. You can also select 4 programming times or 2 programming times. If the user guide that comes with it is not complete enough go to the manufacturers website for more information.
Lux Programmable Thermostat
This thermostat is easy to use and very reliable. The programming is a little difficult to remember, so save the instructions or download them to your favorite device.
Incompatible with HVAC--beware!
My electrician said it was "incompatible" with my HVAC.
Unsatisfied
Dont work correctly. Temperature not correct half or the time when it goes on and off.
Good deal works well
Easy directions and installed in about 20 min
Easy to read!
Easy to install. Easy to read.
Large display with 3 program options. Backlight display.
I looked for an easy to ready thermostat for my dads house because he has AMD eyesight. I had a non-program thermostat installed but when he raise or lowered the heat it would stay there. Same for the AC. So I installed a 5-2 day 4 times a day thermostat so when the next programmed cycle came up the thermostat would revert back to normal settings as long as he didn't hit the hold button. This worked but his eyesight got worse and he couldn't tell the set temperature readout from the room temperature readout. So I had to find a thermostat with a large backlight display that only had one number for both room and set temperature. I found this one. The room temperature is displayed as long as you are not changing the temperature up or down. The the display number goes back to room temperature while not programming or adjusting the temperature. It can be set to non-program mode. 7 days with 4 cycles a day mode or each day a week with 4 cycles a day mode. It will run gas or heat pump with backup heat. It did just what I wanted it to do. I have it set to 7 day 4 cycles a day program. Which works if my dad wants to raise or lower the temperature. Then it cycles back at the next program cycle for that day. The only thing is the hold button is right above the up temperature button but so far he has not hit it. Digital readout is about 1 inch numbers. Only one I could find like that without buying one that talks to you which is $200 or more. I paid $25 for this one new in box.
Works well.
Appears to be of good quality. Straight forward install. Is working well. Reprogrammiing takes a little study, but is accomplished with no problems. Consider it a good value compared to competitor brands.
