The planter area is not very big, so a succulent would probably work best. For my daughter, I put artificial greenery in it and she loved it. It came in well secured packaging and arrived quickly. The blue bird is a cute touch with the hippo smiling up at it like they're friends. It's heavier than I expected, but looks good sitting on the hearth of her fireplace.

Bought as a gift. Ilooks exactly like pictures and is the size I was expecting. Was well packaged and arrived in great condition! I would definitely recommend.
