Wish I had my bed

I received email saying the bed was shipped and they would contact me with delivery date. That was over 10 days. I called customer service and they have no history of my item arriving at the delivery hub. Supposedly they are “checking into it”. So I’d love to write a real review but unfortunately I can not.

The bed I do not have

They sent me a request to write a review on this bed purchase I made om March 1st, 2024. Here it is:They promised someone will contact me on March 11th to arrange the delivery. I contacted them on March 15th since no one called me. They told me they "will investigate". To make long story short, as of March 22nd (today) they say "order is expected to be shipped to the delivery agent on 4/9-4/12". To delivery agent! When it will be shipped to me they do not know.So, I can't say anything about this bed since I do not have it. However, my experience with JCPenney has been terrible. Do your shopping somewhere else!

Do Not Buy

The headboard stitching is completely defective and came with a hole punched in the back.

I got the queen size. . . Pros: . The bed has beefy construct, one you can bang on with a decent mattress. . The drawers are large and tough, and their placement are ideal for those who has a desk or nightstand next to the bed. . . Cons: . The assembly instruction is only tolerable and can use some significant improvement, as its lack of showing the details can easily lead to errors or mistakes. . . In addition: . If you would like to clean underneath the bed from time to time or even use the rest of the space other than the drawers for longer-term storage, you really do not have to screw down the slats to the frame. However it does not hurt and is probably a good idea to screw the slats onto the slat support. . . For average queen-size mattress there is indeed space between the bottom edges of the mattress and bed frame. In other word. the bed is slightly larger than the queen size, maybe 1 inch on each side and 1/3 inch on the rare end, which does not bother me at all. Less

Sturdy and beautiful

Bed came in at least 6 boxes. Directions were semi helpful, just pictures, no words and could have used spare parts. Took a very long time to assemble, around 6hrs, two people. Didn’t realize how labor intensive putting the under bed storage drawers would be. End product turned out exactly like picture, sturdy and beautiful. This bed will never leave the bedroom it was put together in, unless it’s getting chucked out the second floor window. Very happy with purchase, but would pay someone to put it together if there were to be a next time.

Hard Assembly

Assembly is incredibly hard and not worth it to me. I paid extra for delivery and they would only go up my front stairs. Each stair after was 20$ per stair. So I carried the whole thing and it laid in a million pieces for months. Assembly was confusing and I had to hire someone to do it and even they thought it was ridiculous. Bed is pretty and drawers are nice but not worth it.

Hayneedle is great

While I like the product, I was more impressed with hayneedle. My delivery was late and hayneedle took great care of it. Felt like I was dealing with a friend.

Easy to Assemble and Looks Amazing!

This bed looks so nice when assembled. Drawers move easily and the headboard is sturdy. Took about 4-5 hours to fully assemble but the instructions were easy. It arrived with a broken part and I was able to get a replacement through hayneedle from the manufacturer in less than a week! Excellent customer service and a great product!

Very heavy to move; hard to tuck sheets under mattress. . Love the drawers and headboard!
