Soft and beautiful

Got the Lyndhurst rug in red and it looks great in our den. Very soft to walk on and thicker. Color leans toward a deep crimson and gold rather than a bright red. It’s perfect for our purposes. Definitely a step up from the rug we had before.

Wrinkles will fall out.

Rugs are just as pictured. Good quality for the price. Slate blue color which is what I really was hoping for. Wrinkles are falling out nicely on the 8 x 10s. The 8 ft round rug is taking a little longer to straighten out, but has definitely improved in 4 days.

This is the third time I've purchased this exact rug. I bought one in 2012 and again in 2018. We have two dogs who are known to shed and barf constantly so we need a rug that can withstand being vacuumed and washed fairly regularly. Also, one that doesn't show a lot of brown/white dog hair if we're not on top of vacuuming. This rug is it! Plus, it looks nice and you can't beat the price.

Lyndhurst Adelyne - love this rug!

SAFAVIEH Lyndhurst Adelyne Traditional Oriental Rug - LOVE this rug. I already have two of these rugs in different sizes. I've had them for two years. They still look as good as the day I got them. I would recommend them to anyone. One thing to note, the color described as light blue, to me, looks more like a light gray.

Not a bad rug for the price. However, it...

Not a bad rug for the price. However, it was shipped, folded in half and then rolled. Obviously to cut shipping expenses on a 10ft long parcel. We still have creases in the backing and pile that have not worked out even after laying flat for 3 weeks. Rugs should be ROLLED, not folded.

Beautiful rug! I love the simple design and I really do think it looks better in person. I've only had this rug for a month now so we'll see how it hold up over time, but I don't doubt that it will do fine. The rug does not feel or look cheap. It took about a week for it to fully flatten out after removing the packaging and un-rolling. It has a sort of funny smell to it the first couple of days but this would be my only complaint! Otherwise 💯recommend

Very pretty rug that's durable and soft under foot

I must admit, I was skeptical about purchasing a rug that was as inexpensive as this one. About ten years ago (I'm a little slow on the reviews), after completing a fixer-upper to put on the rental market, I was advised to furnish it to appeal to the market who would likely be most interested in renting it. Not wanting to spend a fortune on items I expected would get damaged, I purchased this rug for the primary bedroom. The beautiful color way allowed me to furnish with neutral tones but let tenants add their personal touches with their belongings. The rug's warm colors invited the eye to touch it. The rug was really quite soft, a pleasure to touch. To feel the nicest under foot, I recommend a felt underlay instead of the waffle-like one with holes in it. I think that because I used the felt underlay, the rug was still in great shape when the tenants moved out five years later. They loved the rug so much, we let them take it with them.

I purchased several runners and area rugs in the red. The rug is very soft. Feels very nice under foot. Easy to vacuum with rug pads in place. It has been a week that I have the rugs rolled out flat but the edges still curl up and there are waves in the length of the longer runners. It will take time to flatten, hopefully not too long. I did add 1/8" felt and rubber pads underneath and the rugs/runners are staying in place. Oddly, the rugs are not consistent in color, some are redder, more like burgundy in color. The tan also can be more creamy in color too. If the colors were consistent, I would have given 5 stars.

Few feet of the rug has a different shade

I bought this rug Safavieh Lyndhurst Light Blue and Ivory 2'3" x 20' Runner Area Rug. It's long and one side of the first 4.5 feet is shaded darker than the rest 15.5 feet. I tried vacuuming and making sure it's not because of the light shining differently on that part of the rug. And it's not. Seems like it's made that way itself and that shade really looks bad. I am trying to upload the photos but Macy's website is not allowing me to though my file extension is .png and size is well below 5MB.

Very flat area rug, be sure that is what you want

I definitely liked this area rug in the picture. Bought the runner to place in my hallway. It was too short in length for my hallway and there was not a longer size available. Additionally, although I continued to like the pattern the fabric wore badly over a short period of time. There was no cushion to it at all, very flat and also tended to get dirty just from bare feet (although I will say that my hallway is well traveled). This just was not a great fit for my household even though I really gave it a fair try.

Had to return

I loved the rug but it had a color flaw. About a 6 in square where the dye was different, it was like it didn't take the color in long enough. Noticeable enough that it would have driven me crazy. Other than the color being off I liked the rug. It seemed to be of good quality for the price. I have several Safavieh rugs and I love this company. So I have shipped it back and I'm waiting to see what they're going to do about it. Ship a new one or refund money. Will update a little later! UPDATE: Overstock took care of the issue immediately upon receiving the rug. Thank you Lance for all your assistance! I've bought many items from furniture to rugs and this was the first time I had an issue. Fast and easy return. Thank you Overstock, you're my favorite company!😊❤

Nice-sized office rug with perfect tie-in colors

I love the rug! I got the round rug and it looks just as I thought it would in my space! Can't wait to get the chaise lounge I also ordered through Overstock as well as some other items moved into my new office to go along with it. I feel like this rug will tie in the browns, golds, greens and blues that will be in the rest of the room and feels nice and muted, not too overpowering, with the grey wall paint I chose. The package comes vacuum-sealed and tightly rolled up so I recommend flipping it over upside down so it can relax itself overnight. This picture was after the rug had a chance to rest a bit overnight. I also got a round floor pillow to put on top of this along with an ottoman tray for snack breaks, reflection time, meditation, etc.

Good Value

We bought this rug for the living room. We could not find the rug we wanted so we settled on this one until we come across the one that we really wanted. This rug is a good substitute for the time being. You can't beat the value and the colors match well. This rug will definitely be used in a bedroom or other room when it is no longer needed in the living room. My only complaint is that the rug was not rolled when it shipped. It was folded and bent over. the rug is 9 X 12 so the wrinkles are hard to get out. We will be putting something heavy on it to flatten it out. Possibly the kitchen table turned upside down and left on it overnight will do the trick.

You get what you pay for. This was an inexpensive rug to place in a large room when we purchased our Victorian home. All wood floors throughout the house and I was trying to put rugs in 5 large rooms. Three years later and I've already replaced one of them and will be replacing another very soon. I've found another brand that seems to be nicer but I'm waiting to see how the one I've already purchased holds up for a couple of months. If it doesn't then I'll be investing more money on better rugs and one room per year. The living room is 36' X 18' - there was an antique beautiful cream and light blue rug in the home but it was shedding so much and had an unfortunate incident with a bulldog (who is no longer allowed in the main part of the house) - I purchased this same brand of rug before finding the current one I just bought this week and laid two 1/2" foam and felt pads under it to create the same luxury of the soft antique ruined one. A comparable rug that is 15' X 28' at today's prices would have been $5,000.00+ - I can see spending $1,000.00 to $1,500.00 on a rug that size and might have to eventually but not any time soon. And the rug I replaced was 4' longer!!

Nice and soft

When this rug first arrived, I thought the colors were wrong for the room, but I've gotten used to it and I like it. I am not sure how that worked. It is a fairly desaturated gray-blue, very cool. However, the golden ivory tones warm it up. I would recommend buying the rug before you choose your paint color. I went the other way around, but, as I said, although I thought the rug did not match my room at first, I've gotten used to it. This is very good, because I don't know how I ever could have returned it, let alone who would have ben responsible for the return shipping.

I don't normally shop online. I'm the sort of person that needs to see and feel things. It's sometimes hard to picture something in an empty space and how it will come together when filled. This rug would be in the room you first see when you enter my home so it was important that it be stunning as well as functional and complimentary to the rest of the decor. I must say that this rug was even prettier than pictured and worked better than I expected in my dining room. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Delivery was very quick. The perfect finish! Love It!

Pretty rug-terrible shipping and return experience

I never thought I would have such a bad experience with Overstock. Previous orders were great and a very rare return easy. This rug, although a pretty pattern and just the colours I wanted,, arrived folded in half and rolled tightly in first paper and then tight plastic wrap. When opened, the rug was badly creased down the fold and badly creased all along the tight roll. Laying it out on the floor showed creases that would take a long time to lie flat, if ever! Backing was so stiff that trying to fold and roll it back up to return was almost impossible. Anything wrapped tightly in plastic will not easily go back into it...! I did manage to use the "original packaging" and added a protective inner plastic along with the paper and the outer heavy plastic wrap. I reported this to Overstock, told them I was going to return the rug and found that even though it was the fault of the shipper to send out a rug in that condition, I would be charged a large amount of money to send it back. It was sent back immediately as although I liked the pattern and would have kept it, I am an older person and cannot have any rug in my home that would cause me (or my guests) to trip and fall. This experience cost me a large amount of money and repacking trouble for nothing. I am very disappointed in Overstock for this. It would have been different if I had simply changed my mind and wanted to return the rug. But the problem was the poor way the rug was shipped. I do not have the confidence in Overstock that I used to have...and I wanted to wait to write a review until I received my refund to see if the very large "shipping charge" would be reduced or refunded. It was not...so the large shipping amount I paid means I won't be using Overstock as one of my preferred shopping sites from now on.

safavieh rug

We just received the rug which took less than a week to get. I read quite a few reviews (around 2 dozen or more) and I am here to set the record straight. To me the rug is more grayish than blue, however my wife says it is more blue than gray to her. This rug is a reproduction of an original and it looks GREAT! It looks exactly like the photos on Overstock. I was expecting the rug to come folded, however it was rolled and in clear plastic. Once rolled out it did have a few creases, but nothing like I expected. When you by new carpet before installation the installers leave it outside in the warm weather to make it more pliable. The creases will eventually soften within a few days. Like someone said " I feel like I stole this rug". I feel the same way. For the price and size it was a STEAL. This was definitely a good purchase!

Beautiful, soft rugs

I read the other reviews on the rugs and was a little concerned over several who complained that the way the rugs were packed left them with creases that would not come out and the ends rolled up. So I was a little surprised to see mine arrived rolled as I would have expected. Yes, there were some creases and the very end of the roll was folded. I simply laid them on the floor, bottom side up, vacuumed them well, put a weight on the curled end and left them for a couple days. They are now beautifully flat, and unbelievably soft and beautiful. VERY happy with my purchase. I did put one into my bathroom, but have decided I'm a bit concerned over how it will hold up with getting wet, particularly as I'm about to have a great deal of company, so am moving that one to my bedroom and have ordered a couple long reversible bath mats instead.

I purchased this rug in September of 2014, It was beautiful and fit my space. Recently a small section got damp. A nasty odor developed. The odor got stronger. I tried numerous retail purchased remedies to eliminate the odor. None of the products I used improved the nasty odor. I rented a "rug cleaner" and used it three times on the rug. When used twice on the back side the water was black and unbelievable dirty. When used on the front side, the water was dirty, but to a much lesser degree. The NASTY ODOR still exists and I may have to throw this capet away! Such a disappointed, frustrating, sad experience. Many hours of effort have been wasted to deodorize this rug. I would NOT recommend it to anyone and have already told many friends about avoiding this unpleasant, frustrating, disappointing experience.
