Too large to be a dining chair, but great quality

These are VERY big, both in height and width. More importantly, they are too heavy to be able to sit down at a table and slide in to eat. But the quality is so good I’m going to use them anyway. I opted for casters, but casters don’t come in the size of the existing threaded inserts in the front legs so it required removing those (red thread lock and 1/4x20 bolts) and drilling new holes in all four legs.

These chairs are beautiful. I wish they were heavier and more solid. They are lightweight and I am worried the legs will break off. They do make a statement at my table though.

Sent 2 chairs w/out any legs

I ordered 2 of the Lewis Dining chairs in the Beige color. Unfortunately they shipped me the seats for the 2 chairs, but none of the legs. I attempted to get the legs shipped out to me, but was told that it would probably be easier to ship those 2 chairs back, and do an entire re-order. Given the size of the chairs (and the tremendous amount of shipping tape needed), this was a bit of a hassle for me to repackage everything up. I liked the look of the chairs and they seemed solid and well built, and I probably would have kept them. Not sure if I'm going to reorder, as I don't want to encounter the same ordeal again.

Good quality for the price

Our dining table had all wheat colored upholstered chairs. We placed this captain's chair at the end of the table and it looks very nice as the proper "head of the table. Did not require any assembly other than screwing on the legs, which was nice. Nice upholstery and good quality for the price.

Like it, but don’t live it

It’s overall a nice looking chair, but the workmanship is poor. The legs were a challenge to get on because they wouldn’t sit right in the openings. The manufacturer placed the legs under a Velcro bottom to the chair and it’s just so cheap the way the bottom of the chair is finished.

Would not recommend

Chair is not well balaced. Tips over very easy. But it sits very comfortably.

Lightweight beauty

The design of the chair is nice. The gray color goes well with my decor. However, the chair is lightweight, meaning it’s not a sturdy chair. Need more foam all over.

Worse quality

Great chair

this is a, great chair for mulitple purposes. Can be used in the office, dining table, or extra seating in a family or living room. Very comfortable especially with the tall back.

Material

I bought the Gray ones couple of years ago and they are great and decided to get the cream color as well. What a mistake. The cream color fabric is nothing like the gray. The fabric is so light weight that you could see the inside foam and could get snagged very very easily. Returned as soon as I unboxed it.

I bought two of these chairs for my dining table. One chair arrived pristine, the second arrived with glue stains, leg didn’t fit and fabric was bunched. I called kohls and they replaced in in the same week. Happy with the new replacement.

Beautiful chair,beware of possible assembly issues

Great looking chair for the price. The only issue I have was with the assembly. First chair, one of the legs could not fit in the slot and required a handy friend with a special tool to shave down the wood. Second chair, one of the legs the screw holes on the chair base did not match up with those on the leg and required adjustment. Chair itself gets 5 stars, assembly process, 2 stars.

Looks great

I ordered two of the grey chairs for our bedroom. The color is just what I needed, grayest brown. It matches my accent wall perfectly. I gavea the rating because the chairs are very uncomfortable and not easy to put together. On each chair, one leg did not fit exactly right for the opening. My husband ended up having to use the hammer to get them in. Otherwise, I could have assembled alone.

Disappointed in this uncomfortable chair

Horribly uncomfortable chairs and low quality. The seat depth is so shallow even a 5'2" person felt like their rear was barely hanging on. Have tried to return them and now they are lost in shipping. Do not recommend.

This is a great purchase. Definitely recommend. The chair is just as pictured and just as described. The quality can be a tad better as far as the seat cushion is concerned but it is being used occasionally in an office lobby. There is enough room to add a small decorative lumbar pillow so I will do that.

Elegant but not Comfortable

Nice looking but not made for long term seating. Very easy to put together and they are a pretty good quality but if you plan on spending time sitting there like reading a book, etc. the seat cushions are not comfortable long term. Darker than I thought too but I like the color.
