Mantel clock

I really like this - it looks great on my mantle. I did not set the chimes because I think I would find them annoying, but some might like that in addition to being able to see a non-digital clock!

This is a very nice clock that keeps time well and fits in with your decor. The chimes are a lovely addition that I find very comforting and enjoyable. Very pleased with my purchase.

Old world style and craftsmanship

I Have a few different clocks made by Bedford. So, I had a good idea as to the quality and craftsmanship they put into their products. This made it possible to buy with a high degree of confidence in what I was getting. As with their other clocks I was not disappointed with what I got. I need some pretty restrained dimension to fit the small mantle on my condo's fireplace, yet wanted a particular look. I was looking to turn it into a statement or focal point in my living room. It is small enough too fit the space yet has a substantiate profile so as not to seem toy like. It captures the feel of an old world fine clock at a fair value and price. It is not often in these days that something in this price mark is worthy of praise. So, I don't say it lightly that I would feel comfortable receiving or giving this as a gift or in my case for my own personal clock collection. It sounds nice and gives the look I was after quite well.

Stylish ageless

This clock added a touch of class to the room it is in. Delivery was easy and timely. It was packaged well. There were no problems with this item. I would purchase this again. Set up was easy and the instructions were no problem.

Very disappointing

This item is poor quality; thin wood and very cheap clock and chime mechanisms. Chime sounds tinny and never could adjust to correct hour! RETURNED.

Beautiful clock. Keeps accurate time. Having difficulty getting the chiming to work properly. Update: the chiming will not work. Have tried multiple times to get it set and yet it still doesn't chime. Very disappointed for the price I paid.

Large

This mantel clock is large at 17" base and 10.75" height. However it has a beautiful patina color closer to redwood or rosewood. Came packed well with no noticeable damage. The chimes can be difficult to set as there is no am/pm switch and you have to wait until the correct time and than press the set button until you get the correct number of chimes on each hour. The six inch clock face is easy to read from a distance. Would have preferred a clock a little smaller but the elegant design makes it a keeper.

Not just a good clock, but good design.

Not just a clock, this is a high-quality item of furniture that really makes our living room decor happen. Set-up instructions were easy to follow. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment.

Great mantel clock

The clock is a beautiful wood clock with a large face. We are not using the chimes as we have a large grandfather clock with chimes, and we do not want competing chimes. However, the chimes are very pleasing. It is a great clock for the price.

I returned it. The face of the clock is clear plastic and the gold colored rim around the face is plastic, not metal. But it's a pretty clock if you don't care about that. The wood wasn't highly polished, but pretty enough. I didn't listen to the chimes.
