Barometer

Please explain why barometer points to fair rather than rain when it’s raining ? I tried to research on web, can’t find an answer.

The Fischer weather station was a Christmas gift for my husband. It is working very well & its wood case is very attractive.

All good. Only 😐 is that the instrument coverings are not glass as my family had all those years ago. Oh well...

Beautiful Weather Station

This is one beautiful weather station, the instruments are so clear and the glass is smooth and sleek. The wood is thick and finished nicely. It would be a conversation piece wherever you hang it.Just one look at it tells you it's quality. It works very well without any kind of adjustments for where I live. It was packed very well for shipping. I'm very happy with it and highly recommend this item. It would make a thoughtful beautiful gift.

Beautiful instruments...

...with one caveat: the US-based measurements use smaller fonts than the European. So, for example, centigrade and millibars are on the outer circle, thus having larger fonts than fahrenheit and inches. If it were truly a "US Version" it would not just include fahrenheit and inches, but also make them easily readable. Especially since the older US population that is most likely to be interested in analog instruments, is aging.
