This rug is functional for what I needed. It looks nice but it is definitely more of a mat than a rug. The texture is a firm and has a rubber bottom. The color is not true to the description. I would think ash would be dark gray. This is more of a forest green/gray.

Even better than expected and at a great price. We had planned to use this rug for another location, but when we unrolled it, we decided to use it for our main entrance. This runner is both beautiful and rugged and makes for the ideal entrance floor covering. The dark tones means that it could be used on almost any surface.

I have had this runner for about 8 months now and it still looks good. In my opinion, that is a very long time for a kitchen rug to hold up so well. It is Sisal so it is a little rough underfoot, not uncomfortable though. I ordered the silver reading that is was not really silver. It is more on the dark bronze side. It is really good quality and I believe it will last for years.

Beautiful, stylish rug!

I was looking for a rug to replace a piece of cut carpet in our breakfast room. I first ordered a 2x3 in Desert Sand to check the color due to the many reviews saying that the actual color doesn't match the picture. I would definitely agree that the picture online looks lighter and more tan. I reality, the color is more goldish, brownish, tan. I have attached pictures that hopefully better shows the actual color of the Desert Sand. For us, it was perfect being more gold in color. I then ordered a 9x6 and it is a great fit! The detail of this rug is very pretty as well. Couldn't be happier with it!

I bought this rug some time back and finally got it into the room. I LOVE it ... tempted to buy another one just like it, as we go through a lot of rugs around here. I believe the size I got was 8x11 size, which looks longer in the picture than it actually is (camera distortion). I believe the color looks about right in my picture. It's darker than it appears in the Overstock photo (on my screen, anyway). It's a beautiful neutral that would work well in many rooms. What's REALLY nice is they rolled it right side out, so no curled edges. In the picture, it's only been down one night, and there's no rolled edges in sight. It's got some weight to it, which is nice. No odors when we unwrapped the rug (and none associated with the rug pad we ordered from Overstock either).

This was perfect for my tiled bathroom as it has a skid-proof backing. I reinforced it underneath the corners with carpet tape so it doesn't budge at all. It appears to be made of natural fiber, as described. The color is solid ash gray (you can google the different types of gray for comparison). It's soft to walk on and you can't feel the floor when you step on it even without padding. My photo shows it in a lighter shade, but the actual rug is a darker hue, but not charcoal gray. I'd buy this again in a larger size. The weave design is really nice and it's closely woven. Shipping and packing are all AOK.

This rug laid perfectly from day one...not like some others I have ordered that take awhile for the creases to flatten. Definitely shades of yellow with the tan color, which does not show up so much in my picture but it works in my home office. Somewhat of an odor the first few days but not anything overwhelming. This may be due to the rubber backing. Plus on the rubber backing is no mat needed. I have had the rug less than one week but so far, no problems with my desk chair with wheels on the rug. Love the pattern.

We needed an entryway rug to go right next to a patterned living room rug. The 3'x5' size was needed to give entering guests enough of a landing area. Decided to go with a natural fiber rug, rather than trying to find something to match in color-wise. We went with sisal as it is more durable and a bit less casual than jute. The color and the pattern work perfectly with the living room rug without distracting or clashing, but without being too neutral/blah. The fiber appears super durable. The color is a very pleasant natural taupe. There is a rubber backing that keeps it from slipping excessively, though I occasionally have to re-align it slightly from the traffic it gets. Note that the ends are folded over, making a double thickness of about a scant 11/16". Our front door clears 3/4" so this is not a problem for us, but might be for others. Highly recommend this rug.

Sturdy Rug, good quality

If you like the natural fiber look, but want something well made at a good price, the Desert Sand Palm Beach collection by Safavieh is for you. We have this in my husbands office and I feel it will stand up to the wheels of the office chair moving around. Our previous wool rug was wearing thin under the chair and constantly losing fiber from the rolling. This rug is beautiful, not so light in color that it will show dirt but not too dark either. I like that the edges are machine bound instead of being edged in fabric and the rubber backing means it doesn't need a pad and won't slide around. We also bought a smaller size for the entry way by the office and both rugs give the front of our home a somewhat tropical feel.
