Mine was defective

Price was right for it. Made of plastic and the one I recieved has the top shower connector ( the reason you would get this one) bent I may be able to make it work.

A shower from a tub

Have received it and it looks to be just fine. Have not installed it yet as I have not been able to get a plumber out. Plan to use it to make a shower out of a tub, and it appears that will work just great.

the threads broke off, plastic is weak.

It's not metal but it works great with no issues. Do not over tighten or you could possibly break it. Otherwise it's great.
