it is not clear if the item in question comes in a pair. The the item shown will work on the bottom left and top right of a pair of shutters but not the reverse positions. Please clarify. Thank you.

Inadequate screws

The hinges look fine, but I haven't been able to mount my door because the screws are unreasonably short. The 3/4" screws are fine for mounting the hinge to the door, but way too short for the frame side. Even in my 200+ year old house there is trim around each door. Add the depth of the trim, plus half inch sheet rock and you have no chance of getting to the studs to properly mount the door. You can't expect the trim to support the weight of the door. The heads of the screws are attractive with a period square shape, but I'm having a hard time finding matching 2" screws with a similar look. I hate to use modern looking screws after blowing so much money to have period looking hinges.
