Trim does not and can not match to what the shower actually does. SO...hot is cold and cold is hot.

cold and hot labeling in the wrong location
it is a great look, but the universal cold and hot label should be flipped. cold should be on the right and hot should be on the left. if you don't pay attention and install the pipes inside the walls according to the universal code. you will have a problem! I assume someone in kohler made a design mistake.
