Our home is 208 years old. This towel bar looks like it came with the wagon train that built it. Very sturdy and quite beautiful. My towel rack is black, not shiny brass. My kitchen is too pretty to use a shiny brass object.

Industrial looking towel bar
THis is a good looking towel bar. This towel bar very much has the industrial look to it. I got the black finish in this bar. It is made of nice and heavy metal. THe bar is not flimsy looking.I haven't installed them yet, so I can't speak to how well they hold up with use, but they do come with screws, it looks like to help with installing. The metal is heavy, and if it will hols weight, I would use sheetrock anchors/wall anchors when installing.
