Ah, the symbol of hospitality! These bring joy to my back porch, so much so, that I'm going to order more for the front porch! I've had them a year and they still look absolutely great, despite the hot California sun.

We previously had pineapple lights on outside of house near our saltwater pool but they corroded after a year. These new lights are well built and can handle the weather here in south Florida. They are beautiful and provide great lighting.

Very easy to install, mounting hardware was great. Installed four in less than an hour. They suggest 60 watt bulbs, they are really bright. Depending on location, 40 watt might be a better choice.

My wife loves these. We bought the first on for our deck. The second for our main side entry door. Now, these two I am replacing our front porch lights with them. They seem sturdy (don't have long haul info yet) and are pretty easy to mount. As I said, she loves the Pineapple stuff (pineapple means "welcome", as she has educated me . . .) I just put them up because that is the style she wants - and I just want light . . . so we both get what we want.

I was looking at outdoor light fixtures online for months. I kept coming back to these, I was attempting to see them in person before I bought them, but none of the stores around me have them part of their regular inventory. I finally bought them online. I am now obsessed with them. They're beautiful and they make me happy when I pull into my driveway. My husband put them in, and he's not much of a handyman, so it must not be that difficult. I'm going to order the matching pendant for the front entryway. In my opinion I have the prettiest lights on my street.

I already posted on the matching post light review but thought I would share here too. I was really excited about this light and its matching post light. I ordered this light as well as the post light and received both lights on time. Unfortunately we received both lights missing the poll that attaches the top of the pineapples to the base. I have spoken with customer service and no one seems to be able to help me get the missing pieces. Its very frustrating. We currently have two semi-installed lights that I would love to have fully installed. We were also unfortunately recently robbed and I think had our lights been fully installed and on maybe the thieves would have been more hesitant to break into our new home. I would love to give this product more stars but given our experience so far I can't.

disappointing

Although these lights are very pretty, there is definitely a design flaw. The parts do not go together tight enough to make a seal to keep water out of the fixture. I even tried extra rubber washers to see if it would help and it did not. Too bad they are pretty. It wouldn't take much for them to correct the issue, someone should pay attention!

After purchasing two of these Acclaim Pineapple Outdoor Lanterns for our entryway, we purchased another set of two for our side entrance garage. The lanterns are not only beautiful but they illuminate so much more lighting to our outdoor entryways. We are now going to order the pole lantern to complete the welcoming pineapple themed lighting.

Light bulbs keep failing!

After buying and installing two Acclaim Lanai (pineapple) wall lights from Lowes, the expensive gold spun light bulbs (in the correct size/style per the instructions) keep failing at a ridiculous rate. It's a federal case to change them out, because you have to take the entire unit apart to get to the light socket! We ordered a ton of light bulbs just to be sure that we have a sufficient backup supply, but after only a couple of months of use, we are almost out of bulbs! Not sure if this is a lighting manufacturer's defect, or a defect with the bulbs, but my hubby's patience is wearing down as fast as the light bulbs! Although these lights (black coral) are absolutely stunning to look at, I would not recommend these units based solely on the hassle factor.

Perfect within a tropical setting. However, the 60 watts bulbs recommended are a bit too bright and heat up the glass very quickly. Lower voltage bulbs and/ or LED equivalents could be a wiser choice.

Great Looking Fixture

This is a great looking fixture. Bought this smaller version for the back porch, matches the larger ones on front of house. Like the front fixtures, this fixture really requires a larger vinyl mounting block, if you have vinyl siding. Fantastic pineapple lights

I purchased two of the Lanai Matte Black 18" wall mount pineapple lights for our front door and I love, love, love them. They arrived quickly and were well packaged. My husband was able to install them without a lot of fuss. I had previously purchased the 23" pole mount Lanai pineapple light for in front of the house and wanted to coordinate the lighting on either side of our front door. The 23" pineapple light looked much bigger when it arrived then I had imagined, so I scaled back to 18" for the two wall mount fixtures and am very glad I did. They look terrific, throw off a lot of light, but aren't too overwhelming in size. I am very pleased with the quality and look of these fixtures.

Classic style

We purchased 3 of these lights for the front of our garage and the front door. Very pleased with the quality and the brightness, especially compared to our old small lights that were original to the house 50 yrs ago! We have had many complements on these and live in a Seaside town that promotes the pineapple as a symbol of Hospitality, perfect for a welcoming home. The smaller 18" were PLENTY large enough for our regular size ranch house, 21" would be for a large home. Well worth the investment.
