Nice looking dishes, with a spill protective lip. Beautiful shade of black. They are stoneware and the bottom seam is very rough and would leave small scratched on my table. The overall size of the pieces is on the smaller side. I plan on returning.

Great and amazing price

Love them! They are not exactly all the same which I love and gives it a more hand made feel so if you are looking for a blemish-less identical set this may not be for you. The finish is perfect matte black. They are heavy and sturdy as you would expect from stoneware. I had a couple pieces come with minor scratches. The boxing comes with a QR code to stone lain’s website and 30 day warranty. I reached out via email with pictures and they are sending me replacements, within literally 6 hours of emailing them! So amazing customer support to say the least. Another thing I saw from other reviews was about stacking. They do not “nest” stack but they stack perfectly fine for me on top of each other

Dishes are beautiful, however the quality is poor. A review that I had read stated that the plates showed scratches after one or two uses, I believe, but I thought I would give them a shot because I liked the looks of them. Sure enough, they did. I am disappointed!

Nice Christmas gift from my son

I like this set of plates very much. It. Was a Christmas gift from my son. However, I gave 4 stars because it’s heavy and if you’re not careful it can chip off very easy. I ended up buying another set because one chipped when I was putting it away. I wish they had more variety of colors. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to buy dinnerware. Very stylish!

These dishes are awesome. The bowls and cups are deep so that you can have a full cup of coffee and a full bowl of soup. The dishes have a lip around the edge ensuring the ice cream on your hot apple pie does not slide off the plate. They are black matte and don't show scratches. This is a five star set of dishes!

I took a chance and bought these dishes as a gift for my son and his wife. They absolutely love them and hope to be adding additional pieces from this collection to theirs. . As always you’ll can never go wrong with wayfair. Happy holidays to the staff and their families.

broken plate

Beautiful piece but one medium size plate came broken in pieces. They don’t replace that piece, in other words, I need to pack everything back and return the heave box! Unbelievable, terrible customer service. Very upset & very disappointed!

Ever since my almost antique wedding pottery from France eventually dwindled down to two plates, over the years. it was finally time for a new set. These are perfect!! I don't waste coffee anymore because the cups are the perfect size. The plates edges are perfect, keeping any food onto the plate and the bowls, as my friend shouted with glee yesterday: "These bowls are great for sherbert with a spoon! I didn't miss any sherbert at all!"

Very nice stoneware. I was looking for something less heavy than what we had but would hold my food in. This isn’t as heavy as I thought it would be and I love the lip on the sides. The cups are very small, if I had any complaint it would be that those would be for company for tea or quick coffee. My coffee cups are twice that size, but still I bought it for the plates and bowls.

Matte black stoneware

I recently bought a 16 place settings and 4 pasta bowls. The whole family loves it, especially me. The shape, color, the weight of the dishes ( not cheap and flimsy). The set is everything I hoped for. Now all we need are some other matching pieces like sugar and creamer and maybe a serving platter. I recommend everyone to buy them. They came beautifully packed and only one bowl was chipotle and I received a new one in less then a week with no problems

Great product but...

Personally the product its self is great. However the support on the product is kinda lame. One of my cups broke during shipment and in this kit it comes in a 16 piece, two boxes. When i requested a replacement cup i was told i would need to send back the WHOLE 32 piece set... thats stupid. I was offered a price comp for the the cup which is nice. I would have preferred the cup itself. Also i was given the contact email for the vendor of the set. The email is a dud. Does not exist. Cant send emails to them. Yhe only support offered is on home depot side. None from the vendor themselves.

On a scale of 1 to 10, an 8 (above average). I bought the matte black. I think these stoneware dishes have a nice weight to them. They will definitely raise your plating and presentation game (salmon and chimichurri look smashing against the black). For the price, I wish they were more meticulous with the glaze/finishing. But product was manufactured *there*, even though curated in the US, so ;) you may find a dish or bowl with a fingernail nick or an unevenly glazed rim. That said the black helps obscure minor imperfections, which are to be expected with stoneware. I would recommend care if using a steak knife, it will leave a mark with repeated usage, but also to be expected. The packaging was quite assuring. Box came with FRAGILE tape, and the dishes were very well packed and padded into a manageable cube delivered straight to door.

Ok, not a great product

I am attaching 3 photos so you can decide for yourself. These seem great and have great reviews. They are not any heavier than any other plate as 1 reviewer stated. But here are many many defects, they are not high end plates and if I didn't get them on sale I'd send them back...Which is a lame excuse but I am recently single and just need something. If you have high expectations you'll have to spend more or be willing to fight the process. At least half of the plates have a significant deformity on paint or smoothness (having irregular protrusions in the mold itself). Good luck.
