Item has to be mortised into door frame which is as it has to be. There was no instructions for the install with regard to the size of the recess needed to accommodate the hidden handle. It took multiple attempts to get enough material removed for the latch handle to move freely in the installed position.

This pull is perfect for our closet pocket door. It looks nice and feels solid. It takes a bit of careful routing and then drilling, but they all do.
