Aesthetic but my cats don’t really use it

Putting it together is time consuming if you’re not used to doing things like that. There were some metal pieces inside the house that were rough (not filed) and I unfortunately got a metal sliver when assembling it. I told Mau about it prior to this review but they chose not to acknowledge it or apologize therefore I’m giving this a low review due to customer service reasons. As much as we’re paying for these items, the least they can do is have solid customer service.

Luxury (abandoned) Hotel for Cats

I have been wanting this cat hotel for awhile now. Being my birthday, I thought I would splurge and get something fancy for my two cats. I love it! It is well made and sturdy and the padding is so soft not to mention stylish. Unfortunately my male cat is terrified of the thing and won’t go near it. I wish they loved it as much as I do but unfortunately these Tom cats aren’t ready for an upgrade. I’m sure it would impress any fancy cat but it’s just not a good fit for us. :(

Worth every cent!

This piece is so so so gorgeous. I am so glad I splurged! My cats love it also; they fight over who gets the top basket. It was pretty easy to assemble, I missed the washers initially, but went back to install them… the taller limb is the tiniest bit wobbly but acts like a true tree. Love the pink Lilly pads & the faux white fur of the cat house… in fact, while I was UNBOXING it my cats had already found the cat house (although not yet stable for their entry) and kept fighting me for entry. I don’t know how they knew it was for them, but they naturally did. Haha. Highly recommend!

The best looking option

This item does allow some freedom in set up, the branches are not totally straight so you can space them slightly differently depending on what you get in your order (assuming there is some natural differences). One of my branches has some red (dis)coloration but maybe that’s just natural.

Very nice, just not big enough for my chonk

Assembly was extremely difficult, and I could have benefitted from another pair of hands. Once I got it put together, I was very pleased with the Cento. However, my cat is a 17 pound guy who is also very long, and he did not fit in the baskets. He nervously tried to stand up, took a step back, and when his foot did not find anything to step on he fell. He was terrified of it after that. He was not interested in going inside the bottom part. If I put one of his favorite toys in there loaded with catnip he would just take it out. While the return process was easy, taking it apart and fitting it back in the box was not. I received a refund super fast and am grateful for that. Great product, great customer service, not as great for big cats as is advertised.

Beautiful Product!

The item is lovely although my cat hasn't fully adopted it yet, but we're getting there! My biggest issue is that nothing tells me instructions are located on the box. We spent time digging through everything (never thinking to look on the box itself) and finally pulled up a YouTube video which worked pretty well. Since instructions aren't typically located on the box, there should be some indication of that when I order the product. I received plenty of notifications from time of order, so include that in one of your emails, it could save some frustration. Other than that, it went fine. It took longer than it should to assemble since we were trying to keep up with a video and had to pause and backtrack but eventually, we got there. The prod blends very well with my decor and I will order other products from Mau, due to the quality.

My cats love this

Takes a little time to put together but YouTube it. I was confused at first. There were no instructions in the box but I went on YouTube . Make sure you put the correct screws where they need to be. My cats love this. I have it in my kitchen. My cats range from 8-15lbs. They like the rope at the bottom to scratch at and also the house to relax and sleep in. Definitely worth the money. I like how you can buy replacement parts, bedding , etc. Fast shipping .

Just do it.

I have been eyeing this item for a very long time but I kept pushing it off because of the price tag. One day after a couple of drinks I decided to bite the bullet and it has been the best decision EVER!! Definitely worth every penny. I have two cats and they love everything about the tree, sleeping, hiding, playing and scratching it has everything!! I can’t stress this enough if you have been thinking about getting this tree JUST DO IT!

Sitting Empty

I am very impressed with the design and quality of The Cento. I just wish my cat, Bubba, would use it! We carefully assembled The Cento, following the video instructions, but - once assembled - the wooden posts were wobbly. (We did not realize this immediately.) I gave my cat a couple days to see if he would interact with it. I did find him peaking from the cubby twice within the first few days. After a week of not seeing him in it, I attempted to place him in the lower basket and discovered the posts were wobbly. He immediately jumped out. My husband used a power drill to secure the posts but could only stabilize one of the posts. The screw connecting the other post to the top of the cubby is stripped. We will try a new screw to see if we can make the other post stable. I would love for my cat to enjoy The Cento (especially since he is scratching on the corners of the sofa and not the posts of The Cento) but he isn't interested in it. Do you have any recommendations if we're able to secure the post that's still wobbly? I considered putting a treat or toy in the basket. I really hope he will eventually like it, but we have had it close to the 45-day return policy and are not confident that he will ever use it.

Beautiful piece of furniture and one of my two cats loves it

My white cat, Calli, "owns" this cat tree--she won't let her sister on it. I left the two tree cushions in my bed for the day before putting the tree together. Calli sniffed them thoroughly first--and loved the tree from the start. I would swear she knows how beautiful she looks while sunbathing on the lower nest in the afternoons. I agree--and I love the look of the tree itself. .

Practical & Cute

My cat loves this tree. It took some positive reinforcement to get her comfortable with the beds, but now she's on them all the time. She loves to stretch & scratch the posts, & she likes to snuggle in the little cave. The top bed is perfect for her sunbathing or just avoiding us lol. The only con about this purchase was the price, but my Fuji is happy so I guess it was a worthy investment.

Feedback on the purchase of the Cento Cat Furniture

I was impressed with the quality of construction of the Cento Cat Furniture that I bought for our two cats. The assembly instructions need improvement. First the print is small and second sometimes the measurements of the bolts are in english and sometimes in metric. I tried to watch your assembly video online and it went too fast to follow! LOL! I was able to figure out how to assemble the product without the instructions and/or video. Overall I am very pleased with the product.

LOVE IT - great investment piece

I was looking for a tree that allowed my 15lb cat to comfortably sleep in while also looking aesthetic to my decor. I have had it for over 2 years and love it so much! The basket inserts are easy to throw in the washer and dryer, do not stain (I have the white version), and my cat loves it. It took him a few weeks to not be scared of the top basket, it does rock a tiny bit when he jumps from the lower area to the upper but he is super comfortable with it now and even jumps off of the top. Very high quality, easy to assemble, and beautiful.

Great quality and design!

I absolutely love the Cento! It goes beautifully in my space, its not too bulky and adds to the ambiance whereas other cat trees are typically an eye sore. When I was first putting together the hobbit hole part, kiki refused to get out of it so I could finish putting it together. When I finally got it all together, she instantly took to it and even tried to ignore my bedtime call so she could sleep on it all night! Its beautifully crafted and I love the uniqueness of each piece. Mine came with a strong arch in the base of the upper trunk which gives it such a unique look! I absolutely love it and so does Kiki!

One of the few but horrible experience— not worth $$$

Lovely design but not worth the high ticket price. They sent me a faulty tree and I expected the replacement piece to be sent next day not a week later. On top of that they provided the wrong tracking number. Overall a mess and I bought a 50$ tree. Easier to build. Just as nice and my cats love it. So to each their own. I tried. I wish it worked out but the value for the money isn’t there.

OK. Not as I had hoped...

My cats won't use this very expensive cat tree. Although it is aesthetically pleasing to the human eye, my two girls won't use it. After emailing Mau about the fact that my cats won't use it after two weeks, they suggested removing the furry pads in the baskets to see if that would help. They also offered to extend the return warranty date. I don't know. I threw away the box a couple weeks ago so I don't know how I will return it.

Great stand Just wasn't for my cats

It was easy to put together and really sturdy. Nice and modern looking. However, my cats would not get in the baskets and preferred to go sit on their old stand instead. The only thing I didn't like was the material. I got the grey color and it was a longish material that would come off when you touched it. The way cats play and bit I didn't find this safe. I ended up returning it.

It’s Fabulous! Says Mao & Beau.

The cat post was easy and relatively quick to assemble. The hardest part was keeping the cats out of the house part while I was trying to install the support posts. As soon as I set it in it’s place, both of my cats climbed up into a basket and surveyed the room from above. I, the human, really like that it’s aesthetically pleasing and is much sturdier than the “pet store” cat posts. Also, the fact that I can purchase replacement parts if necessary, is great. Definitely worth the price. Glad I finally made the decision to purchase one.

Mau does not post their negative reviews

I have attempted to review my Cento tree twice now and am curious to see if this will be posted. I am truly shocked at how terrible this company is when you have an issue with your product, from not posting the review I left to intentionally creating a product to fall apart so that customers will forever have to spend money. $300 is a huge investment for a cat tree and for it to absolutely fall apart within a year or two is absurd. I have much cheaper trees that have outlasted my mau tree. Additionally, Chewys brand Frisco sells an almost identical tree for a huge discount, I would recommend buying through chewy. They have great customer service and don’t depend on their products falling apart to stay in business. Shame on Mau!
