small size takes less space

small size fits better in the cabinet space I have and it is a good solid colander

i wanted a strainer that was not plastic or a wire screen. Thought it would be a little bigger, but i think it will be big enough. It is very nice and it's light weight even though it's stainless steel. it has a nice base so the liguid can drain away without my having to hold it up. Very happy with this
