Well-made, remains curled for a long time

My desk has been getting nicked for a while and it was too soft to write on. This pad is perfect and the to treat is a nice touch.

Desk Mat Large / Black

Works well. The mat takes a couple of days to fully flatten out from being rolled up. Helps if you have a couple of heavier things to put on it to flatten. Cable management widget works well but only really fits 2 USB type cables through it. If you have anything thicker, it may struggle to keep it down. Mouse works well on it for general use, maybe a little slow for something like gaming

Nice, not perfect, but really nice

I’ve never owned anything like this before and while I find it a quality made product there are a couple of short comings so far.

Great Minimal Desk Mat

I love this desk mat! It started to lay flat after a day of leaving some heavy books on it. There is a super minor bump under the trough at the top that still doesn't lay flat, but honestly it is barely noticeable. My two favorite parts of this mat is the ability to hide loose papers and the magnetic cord holder so my cables that I don't use all the time don't fall behind my desk. I ordered the Stone color which is a cream color in person and I love it. This mat was more than I was originally going to spend, but it brings my desk set up together not only visually but functionally!

OrbitKey deskpad

Love this! I've wanted to purchase it for a few years and am very happy that it lives up to the hype. It does take several days to lay flat, but that's understandable. I love being able to keep my desk (slightly) more organized by storing loose paper/notes underneath the top layer. Being able to place pens along the top area is great, but being able to keep a few cables on top when I take my work laptop on the road is just a tiny but greatly valued feature. Always happy with my purchases from OrbitKey, and this has only reinforced that!

Awesome in concept, Flawed in Practice

This is one of those products I really wanted to love. The lift up area for papers and the magnetic cable holders are awesome and the whole thing really does tie the desk together. There are two main flaws that keep the product from being perfect - first, there is no backing other than the felt. While the material is nice, this pad slides all over the place and I am constantly straightening it (OCD is a bear!). Second, the material feels great and is amazing to write on, but it is impossible to keep clean. Any oils from the hand or arm sit on material and attract any dust in the area.

So Close to Perfect

This is hands down a 5 star product as far as design and usage. I hated to take off a whole star in my review but there is no option to do 1/2 or 1/4 star.

Work of Art

I love this mat! As soon as I got it, I tossed my Grovemade to the curb (just kidding, love Grovemade). The creme color is on point, but more importantly it just feels good on the wrists. The mat came rolled up, but after a day or two, it is laying flat as my bike tires at the beginning of summer. The felt under pad is thick, and contrasts nicely with the leather (is it leather, don't remember) upper. Stitching is nice and even. The pen track/cable magnet holder is also pretty slick. I bought an extra cable holder because I have extra cables. Although I don't suggest this (Gary!), you can store a lot of passwords underneath thanks to its clever document holder design.

This Desk Mat is a mat that goes on your desk. When I placed it on my desk, I stood back and thought "Gee, that's a nice Desk Mat".

Stylish and functional

I own more than 1 product from orbitkey and can safely say the company stands for functionality and style. I bought this deskmat for someone who often has a lot of paperwork around the desk. This interferes with the clean minimalist style of the person and leads to clutter. There are also lots of cables around that desk to charge several electronics used daily. This mat solves all of these issues. The magnetic cable holder is a gift from heaven and especially great because you can purchase extra pieces to hold more cables in place. I have the largest deskmat available, I kind of wish that with this size, there was an option for horizontal and vertical magnet holders to help even more with the cable clutter. The gap where the cable magnet goes also holds pens in place, without the need for bulky pen holders around the desk. The leather has a smooth, quality looking leather. So far, it withstood water marks and heat from mugs containing hot beverages. Paper can be hidden away and accessed easily and the mat is not sliding around the desk (we have a glass office desk). Our Logitech MX mouse slides smoothly over the leather and doesn't in any way impair the movement of the mouse. It's a great product.

Great Mat

This Desk Mat has really been a great addition to my home office. The Top is smooth and my mouse glides with ease. The pen holder is nice and spacious, and store everything in there from pens to lip gloss. My favorite feature though is the pocket. I am someone who loves to write things down for reference, and this has made it really convenient to access those notes more easily when I need them. Before, I had notebooks where I stored things like passwords, reminders, etc., and this has been a game changer. No more flipping through pages to find what I need. I was also able to free up some desk space as I just tore out the pages I use most frequently and no longer have to keep the notebooks on my workspace. My only complaint is that it does tend to slide a little on my desk. I do wish the back of the mat had some kind of gripping mechanism or something that would keep it in place. I do have to put it back where I want it throughout the day which is kind of a pain, but definitely not a deal breaker by any means. I am going to invest in something that will adhere the mat to my desk to eliminate this. Otherwise, I HIGHLY recommend this Desk Mat to elevate any workspace and workflow.

Its nice, but plays havoc with my mouse

Overall I think this product has great potential. However I have had a heck of a time getting it to stay flat. I have followed everything that Orbitkey has on their website and in-package documentation with regards to their tips and tricks to getting it to conform to a flat surface. I have an all-Apple setup on my desk; which includes a Magic Keyboard with Keypad and Magic Mouse. The keyboard rests on the mat with no issues what-so-ever. On the other hand, using the mouse on the mat can be somewhat chaotic. Sometimes I don't have any issues, others my mouse has a hard time registering a tracking motion. Again, I think this has something to do with the mat not lying completely flat.

One of my favorite purchases last year!

I purchased the medium size desk mat to go along with my 6 ft long desk and 27" monitor. This mat is so useful if your desk is prone to getting light scratches easily. Some of my favorite features about this desk mat:

Gorgeous but …

I ordered the large mat in ‘Stone’. Shipping was slow but they did warn about this so no problem there. The mat is well made and the color is gorgeous. It’s smooth and my mouse glides was ease (for the most part).

After using the Orbitkey Desk Mat for the past month, I have mixed feelings about it. I wanted something where both the keyboard and mouse would sit on. I came across an ad for the desk mat and it appear to solve most of the issues I wanted to address.

Orbitkey Desk Mat

I really like the Orbitkey desk mat. it fits perfect on my small desk and I find that I use the toolbar more than I anticipated, and the cable holder is a winner. At first, I thought that the cable holder would just be a nice “techie” thing but no, it’s really convenient way to keep cables handy and out of the way without having to worry if the cable fell behind the desk when I ‘m not using it, I wish I would have bought a second one. also, the document hideaway really helps keep me organized and minimize the clutter when I’m working on multiple projects and notes.

Not for the gamers...

Had high hopes for this desk mat and after two weeks of intense use I can say this: it is robust, well thought (the concept is nice) but there are a few issues: the vegan leather doesn't provide a smooth glide and if you are a gamer, this can be very irritating. I also didn't expect to see the stitching aroud the mat. Not the end of the world of course but not my taste (it looks old fashioned)
