Good mailbox after some adjustments

It was bent in a few places, making it a bit of a challenge to assemble because it had to be straightened. Some of the nuts didn't fit the screws well. It doesn't close very tightly. That said, with some minor adjustments it is a decent mailbox.

It was exactly what I wanted. I am an older woman and needed something that was easy to assemble and install myself. Not only was it easy to put together and put up, but the quality and sturdiness was much better than I expected for such a reasonable price. Very happy!

Nice mailbox, great price

I was really surprised at how big and sturdy this mailbox and post is. The assembly instructions were confusing so that was the reason for just four stars but the quality of the mailbox itself is excellent and it looks very nice once we got it installed.

not bad but could be better

The box seems to be a good one. The frame you place it on is a bit flimsy. The welding isn't the best. Nowhere in the description does it tell you that it recommends you place it in concrete, so be prepared to do that.

Great Mailbox

This is a great mailbox. I use to have a plastic one that over time faded and just looked bad and the numbers kept falling off. This still looks great after a full FL summer in the sun, heat, %26 rain. The numbers I put on are still on it. Very easy to install into ground, no concrete needed.

Cute and affordable

Cute, roomy and just what i needed for an affordable price. I had a handyman install it because I didn't feel like bothering with it but i could have handled it. I didn't use cement because we may choose to upgrade to a locking mailbox later but its holding up just fine.

Bought this cute mail box from Walmart. Black Galvanized Steel Mail-Box Ppst Kit. Has medium capacity adjustable latch. We mounted in ground I used a little cement. Was very easy to put together. Durable and no crusting during rain. Very cute design that matches part of my house. Has adjustable latch and can lock. Has a one year warranty. I recommend everyone shop Walmart they have apmost everything.

If I could rate negative stars, I would.

Straight out of the box, the mailbox is dented on the side. The poles are caved inward. The "paint" is peeling off! You would be better off on Facebook Marketplace than wasting almost $50 on this.

Great cheap mailbox!

This mailbox takes two people to assemble but it's pretty sturdy and does everything a mailbox should. We only pushed it into the ground and didn't even use any quickcrete, but it's been standing up well and it's been two weeks already. We had to get something quick because the storms knocked our old one. This one is a great choice!

Screws aren't threaded

Something that should have taken 10 minutes to put together and install took much longer. The screws I got weren't screws, just pieces of metal that weren't threaded. I had to go to the hardware store for my own screws to complete it. Super disappointing

Great mailbox

its awesome, im really happy with it. the only problem i ran into is there is a sidewalk in the way. i purchased a planter to place cincrete to hold up mailbox. the mail box is about a foot taller than postal regulation when not inserted in the ground and no easy way to shorten it. so far usps i being nice about it but they may make me replace it

Lid Won't Stay Shut

Very nice looking mailbox. The iron worn on the stand matches my front porch and I love it. The biggest issue is the lid will not stay shut properly. I have come home twice and the lid is open and I have cameras pointed at it, so no one is stealing my mail. I am going to do some research to see if there is a way to latch it properly, but at this point, my new lettering is already on it and it will cost me money and about two weeks delivery time because it's a special order pattern.

Product came damaged from shipping so I gave a mediocre review. Architectural Mailboxes noticed the review. They emailed me directly contacted me to make it right! I was sent a new unit. Easy to install and the door closes tight. It is a great size as I live away from the city and place orders online. It fits my mail and orders very nicely. The door is pressed with an eagle and looks old fashioned. I love it!

Great box for the money

Great value for a Florida version of a mail box. Easy to read instructions and easy to put together. Good quality and easy to put in the ground. Looks great with the numbers on it. Way cheaper than the competition. Would surely buy again.

I'm happy with my sturdy and wonderful plain mailbox. This was so easy to assemble and even easier to install. Good quality for low price. I love that it came with the post. I did cement it in for more security but that was my choice. It doesn't always stay latched shut.

gorgeous mailbox. The only problem that I had was digging a hole. Because im a woman and it was extremely hard to get through the roots, and rocks. but I got it 3 or 4 inches under ground. Then put a couple inches of concrete to stabilize it. and I think I will put a couple more inches on the next warm day.

Great value. I recommend measuring the distance between the posts and making holes in the ground just slightly smaller than the posts, because the metal is very thin and bends easily when hammering on it. Mine twisted slightly while hammering, so I removed it from the ground and started again just beside the first holes. Once the posts were in all the way, it was still a little wobbly, so I bought 2 pieces of 2-foot rebar, hammered them in about a foot deep, 1 rebar up against each post, and zip-tied them near the top and bottom of each rebar, making the whole assembly solid.
