Easy to install, good quality wood and lid keeps the dog safe. Arrived on time and packaged so no damage was incurred. Exceeded expectations from pictures on website.

This bin is a nice size and easy to get into through the top. It's also much nicer to look at than the standard compost drum. Here are my concerns: 1. In a dry area like Colorado, there is so much air flow that it needs to be constantly watered. 2. Small mice can get in and dogs can dog under to get to the composting material. Metal Rabbit cage/fence barriers need to be installed on all four sides and the bottom. It's a lot of work. 3. The top needs to be weighted down to keep dogs out or home and a latch installed. More work.

Easy to anssemble and color is soooo much more natural and neutral than pictured or expected! So glad I rolled the dice. Set up in backyard and is the perfect size for our first attempt at composting!

Great Composter

Great for composting. The only thing is that it does not have a clear coating and you can get splinters. I painted it with a clear coat, and it works great. It is good looking and keeps the animals out.

Looks much nicer than the pallet and wire homemade concoction I had before. I did coat it with a sealant, it's been a year and could probably use another coat. The top has warped a bit, totally expected for wood sitting out in the elements. Even if I only get a few years out of this, it's worth it!

It's great, but I have two complaints. One, the directions were impossible to follow. It was very hard to figure out which was the inside and which was the outside of each side, and I did it incorrectly multiple times. The more major problem is that although the moveable bottom piece in front will come in very handy when it's time to get the composted dirt out, the plant matter, leaves, etc that I put in pushed the door open. I had to buy and screw in two additional hooks so that it stays closed when I want it closed. Other than those two things; so far, so good, and I would recommend it to others.

Not as sturdy as I would like, but overall a very attractive way to mulch kitchen waste in the back yard. I live in a dry mountain environment, so I need to add more water than normal for mulching. If you have small mulching needs, this is perfect.

Simple to put together as long as you think everything out in advance. Lovely patio planter addition to compost leaves. Convenient to use because of bottom front flap. Sturdy enough for its purpose.

Nice Bin Other Than Instructions

I bought this bin for backyard garden. Looks nice. However, instructions could be much more detailed. Took much longer to assemble than necessary.

Great, but...

I absolutely love this compost bin. It was very easy to assemble and looks a million times better in the yard than those hideous black plastic things. The only caveat: pretty early on, the rats figures out that it's easy to chew through the wood, so now there's a hole in one side, and rats in the compost. Will have to reinforce with some metal grills to stop this from happening. Other than that, great product.

Boo hoo on these instructions!

The compost bin itself is very nice but the assembly...sheesh. I am good at these sort of things but the direction that came with the bin had no identification on each piece and the instructions were unhelpful. It took three times as long as it should have to assemble this simple thing. But once together it was quite nice.

Extremely well made and designed. I am very pleased.

Very happy! This compost bin was easy to assemble and is attractive in my backyard, plus the removable lid and access lower panel will make it very easy to add items and collect compost.
