[Rewarded Review] Decorative planter with a nice depth
This cedar planter is a little difficult to assemble. It requires a rubber mallet and a little attention to detail about the inserts on the legs. The legs are plastic so they won't rust. The inserts are glued in with fast set glue, be careful when using this. The dovetail cedar planks are then hammered into the legs. Only one of the boards slipped in easily. This makes for a tight corner but care must be taken to not break the dovetail end. The top is screwed from the inside so there are no visible screws outside. The floor has space between the boards for drainage. A liner keeps the dirt from falling through the floor.
[Rewarded Review] perfect for growing my carrots
Outdoor Essentials Haven Cedar Flower box 18 x 30 x 20 is the perfect size for my carrots. I new to growing a lot of things and carrots have been the most challenging. I needed to keep them separate from some of the other vegetables and this planter is just the right size for them. I will admit that it was intimidating when I opened the box and saw all the parts. I checked the directions and made sure that all the parts were received and then I saw a website address showing assembly and decided to take the time to watch it. I'm so glad I did or it would have taken me a lot longer to assemble. I do have an old rubber mallet and I could not have put it together without one. The parts do fit tightly, as they should except for the floor which does need small spaces between the boards for drainage. It was an adventure to build since I have never done this type of thing before and I hope you can tell by the photos that I did a good job and will show it off to friends and family with pride.
[Rewarded Review] Nice Cedar Planter
I love flowers and needed a nice-looking Planter for my Deck. I saw the Outdoor Essentials Haven 18 inches by 30 inches by 20 inches Rectangle Cedar Planter Box I decided to order myself one.
[Rewarded Review] Very nice accent piece on my patio, ready for a pot of flowers in 90 minutes
This is a very nice accent piece for a potted plant on my patio. I assembled in about 90 minutes including unpacking, recycling cardboard, and cleanup. The planter box is made of cedar planks that fit snugly into grooves on vinyl corner posts. The top frame comes preassembled which I appreciate. The top is fastened to the sides by 8 screws; if the planter is not square then one or more of the screws may not connect with the side; I had this happen and considered getting a longer screw but decided 7 of 8 screws contacting was good enough.
[Rewarded Review] Nice looking planter box
This Outdoor Essentials planter box is overall a nice looking planter box. I do quite a bit of woodworking and I didn't really like the way that you had to put this together. I thought it took much longer than necessary to build and the design could have been a little better. I do like the rough sawn cedar sides and they do have a great smell while building. Not sure wether I'll be picking up another.
[Rewarded Review] Pretty End Product - Time Consuming Assembly
Having a good rubber hammer to assemble this planter box is a must. You cannot assemble it without an hour or so of pounding the wood slats into the slots. It was a very time consuming assembly. It would have been easier to just cut cedar fence posts and screw them to 4x4 posts and assemble it DIY, if I'm being honest.
[Rewarded Review] Lovely scented wood
This Outdoor Essentials Haven square tall planter is made of cedar, and it smells wonderful. It comes well packed and compact. Simple instructions and will go together much faster if you have a rubber mallet. Some of the slates are shorter than others, so it pulls to one side, so you have to adjust as you go around the planter hammering each slate. We got to the top and the holes for the screws to attach the top frame to the base/side slates, was too short so the screws could not fit. Liner comes with it, so once you have it all together you can line the planter box and plant. There are 4 slates with a rim so you can choose what height you want your base of the inside to be. Overall it's a nice looking piece. It would be easier to assemble if the wood was more uniform in length.
[Rewarded Review] Nice little planter!
This was super easy to put together. You can impress a non-fabricator person with how quick it is. The depth is adjustable. The only problem is that the screws that attach the top are too short! See picture! The side trim pieces were a little stubborn, but they could get loose if they were not! Be sure to have a rubber hammer handy. You could akways use a regular hammer abd a block of wood in a pinch.
[Rewarded Review] Pretty Raised Beds
Very neat how these go together. Not a lot of assembly, nuts and bolts and such but basically slide together which is nice. The black plastic beams have slots that the dove tailed cedar slides into. You will need a mallet of some type and your forearms will feel it. It is real cedar though and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I also like that it has the weed guard. Planning on using this for herbs and such just outside the kitchen for quick access.
[Rewarded Review] Really nice raised planter.
I finally had time to put this together today. When I unpacked the materials, I wasn't thrilled the corners were plastic. While putting this together, the plastic corners won my complete approval. I hit them multiple times with my rubber mallet to shore up the planter square while building it. A note to remember, to glue ahead of time. I didn't and the small plastic pieces moved a bit. This was my error and not a fault if the products. The planter was a little difficult at first to keep square but got easier as I went along. The only change I made was I moved the cleathed pieces up one position. I won't be planting anything deep rooted in my planter. It looks great finished. My only issue was with the fabric liner.
[Rewarded Review] Pretty Cedar Planter
Pretty impressed how the Outdoor Essentials Haven 18 in X 18 in 16 in square cedar planter turned out after assembly. Took about 30 minutes to assemble all the pieces. Didn't use the rubber mallet as suggested but should have. Very nice planter. Comes with liner for planting. You can also stain or seal prior to assembly. I did not but I would if I get another one. Would recommend for indoor or outdoor plant decor.
