The packaging is horrrible

The bowl is fine. It Fits into the stand we use for the food and water dish. My dog was able to pull out the plastic insert and chew it Which is why we bought a second one. I didn’t remember this from the first time or they’ve changed the packaging, but the packaging is horrible. It uses super sticky adhesive for It’s labeling that is directly on the bowl. Impossible to get it off. I am currently soaking the bowl to remove the remnants that I could not pull off. I will never buy this bowl again for this reason.

Great Product

This slow feeder actually slows down my dog’s eating which helps him to not be belching and regurgitating. I love it and so does Tux.

Why the glue?

This bowl comes with a label that was glued on in ten places, with a glue that is not water soluble. It requires a serious solvent to remove the glue (think goo-gone or brake fluid), not something I really want to use on a a food dish. Completely unnecessary. and a huge down check.

Arrived dented

The adhesive is obnoxious & hard to get off. And it was shipped in a large box with heavy items, so arrived dented.

Packaging Sucks and corgis don’t eat out of it.

Really expensive for a bowl and plastic insert. My corgis don’t care for it and refuse to eat out of it. Also, I’m not able to remove the sticky adhesive completely so looks terrible and dog hair sticks to it.

One of my dogs has been scarfing her food like it's going out of style, making herself sick In the process. This bowl has been a lifesaver, forcing her to slow down and actually enjoy her food.

Save your money

Insert doesn’t stay in place ad pictured. Can be easily removed by pet. I learned my lesson I won’t buy this again

A Big Thank You!

My dog and cat order was dropped off by FedEx outside my gate, and the package was taken. Chewy sent me overnight the dog and cat food. Plus, I gave me credit for the stolen package. They did all this with no questions asked, and many apologies. I have been with Chewy's for several years. Love them and their service. They even sent me flowers when my Kino passed. Why would anyone buy some place else. They treat you like family.

Spark has slowed down eating.

I like that I can remove the inside portion of the bowl. I use a brush to clean the grooved portion.

My dog hasn't been able to chew it, so it is working for us!

Good quality bowl with an insertable/removable slow-food component. Unfortunately, my fastest eater quickly figured out how to twist and remove the slow-food piece.

Great bowl, but the adhesive sucks!

The slow feeder works great in slowing down our labradoodle from eating his kibble so fast. The plastic insert is easy to put in and remove and makes cleaning his dish easy. It fits in the elevated feeder we bought perfectly. The one annoying thing is the packaging adhesive the company used to ship the feeder. It's industrial strength adhesive because nothing works to remove the adhesive! I've tried Dawn dish soap, Goo Gone, and WD-40, nothing works! Aside from the annoying tacky adhesive the bowl works great!

Slow feeder does not work

My 9 week old German shepherd anialsted this bowl. He had it in 2 pieces in less than 30 seconds . Had to buy a different bone.

Slow eater food bowl

My vet also told me because he engulfs food, that to put them on a slow eating food bowl and that would help him too. And that has slowed him down on eating so fast. I would recommend this product for every dog that is a fast eater.

Our golden is a terrible speed eater. Finally, this dish really slows her down. I highly recommend it. Plus it’s easier to clean than others.

Insert doesn’t fit well.

The plastic insert is nice for cleaning purposes but does not lock in very well. Any denting to the bowl I imagine won’t help.

The packaging SUCKS!!!

Outward hound uses what’s called pressure sensitive adhesive tape on the packaging for this dog food bowl. I know this because I am the wife of a packaging engineer working in the adhesives industry. Anyhow, this makes the packaging EXTREMELY hard to remove. On top of that, now I have to try to remove the adhesive residue from the bowl before I can even use it.

Great for older dog

This was great for our dog in her last few weeks. It helped her slow down and enjoy her food. Wish she would have gotten to use it just a little longer. :(
