Loves it and only 2 years old

Grandson loves it. He is 2 years old and loves the chalk board. He says his ABCs and numbers while placing them on the magnetic side. The stand is well made and easy to adjust to different child heights.

Love our easel

I bought this easel 7 years ago for my first granddaughter, it has been a eirkhorse for her and her younger brother. I ve now bought another easel for their 2 yr old cousin. She absolutely loves it. She is exploring painting, chalk and magnetic letters and numbers. My son put it together in about twenty minutes. Best present to young ones. Make the investment in the quality of Melissa and Doug.

Missing letters

Some letters in the magnetic alphabet letters are missing. I would like those replaced.

Poorly made, directions hard to follow. Very surprising for Melissa and Doug products.

Perfect easel

I purchased this for my grand daughter, and she loves it. She still needs supervision as she is not quite 2 ½. For now she loves painting and the markers.

I bought this for our 3 year granddaughter and it is GREAT! It provides hours of fun! It has good storage and we are loving the ability to have a roll of art paper on it for painting and drawing. Highly recommend this easel.

Not magnetic on both sides...BOO

I don’t understand why they can’t make both sides magnetic. It would be 100% better if they had!

Assembly was terrible

This easel looks ok (not great, especially for the price) but was incredibly annoying to assemble. Cheap construction with labeling stickers on surfaces that are visible, cheap plastic bolts that don’t tighten all the way, and took far too long. My package was also one red plastic bolt short, so can’t use both of the trays. Really expected better from Melissa & Doug. Would return but it was a gift.

Solid product!

The final product is solid and sturdy. We did find the instructions problematic; not sure that the parts were labeled correctly. Once put together, it is working exactly as expected!

Toddler loves it!

My 18 month old loves this! The short setting is perfect for her. I expect we'll get a lot of use out of this over the years.

Terrible Customer Service and Poor Quality

This product came with pieces that were poorly constructed and therefore I could not assemble. Poor quality.

Daughter loves it and so do I we have hours of fun with it. From chalk to drawing to painting so versatile and easy clean up

I am struck by the poor directions. I am a shop teacher. Visual aids are necessary especially when the product is being used by children for safety reasons alone!. I could have bought many different easels but went to M and D for their reputation and paid extra for it. In these reviews, those who are having problems assembling is because they probably put some pieces together backwards. There is no clear indication otherwise. PLEASE redo steps 1 and 2 with a visual that makes sense.

Poor quality

Product is very low quality. I had to use power tools to fix the incorrectly drilled holes. Only a few were done correctly, most were too shallow or too deep. Definitely not worth the price.

Bolts are too short!

I would love this easel, if we’d actually been able to put it together. The “long” bolts are not nearly long enough to correctly assemble the easel. Unfortunately, we waited until Christmas Eve to do so, thinking, it’s only an easel; how hard could it be? We assembled it incorrectly and my husband drilled new holes so our son would have it for Christmas Day. Buy a different easel, or be ready to go to the hardware store. *I love Melissa & Doug products, but this fell so drastically short.

This easel is easy to assemble, sturdy, and the height adjust for different size children. Folds easy to store. This will last my granddaughter for years.
