[Rewarded Review] Melita 8 Cup Drip Coffee Maker

Very disappointed with the overall quality and flawed design of this machine. It leaks when you fill it to 8 cups. It does not get hot enough. The time display is in military time which is fine for some but not for others; was never mentioned in product listing. For the price point, should have been of better quality.

Love this coffee machine!

This machine has been putting in the work in my coffee-loving househouse! And it still works amazing! Not only is it super easy to clean but it looks lovely on my kitchen counter. The coffee always tastes great and the thermal mug keeps it warm for so long! I was really impressed :).

[Rewarded Review] Nice Little Coffee Maker

The Melitta Coffee Maker has a small footprint (which is what I was looking for). It is very simple to operate and it makes coffee in about 5 minutes. I like the thermal carafe but it doesn't keep the coffee warm for too long (about 2 hours). It makes 8 cups of coffee which is plenty for me. I don't like the clock feature because it isn't regular time (it is in 24 hour time format).

Response from company !!!! Its a show stopper

I purchased the militia 8 cup Tocco thermal coffee maker on 10/30/2022 from Macys I did not start using it until February 2023 when I moved into my new home. From day one the coffee was never hot it was very warm. I put hot water in my mug prior to pouring the fresh coffee to keep the temperature hot. Now I have to make the coffee microwave it and then pour it into my travel mug. I need to know is this normal temperature ? I really like hot coffee and this coffee machine as expensive as it is not up to par with the coffee it produces . Can you please help me maybe I am making it wrong.

Brew temp

I love the look of it, but I feel it doesn't brew at a hot enough temperature and also doesn't keep coffee hot enough. A bit disappointed after having a Bonavita.

Nice looking but just okay, the carafe doesn’t empty well and coffee doesn’t stay hot long enough.

The jury is still out

I had a Capresso coffee maker I loved for many years. Needed a new one but they didn’t make my model anymore. Switched to Melitta as they made a small 10 cup model with glass carafe. I followed all the instructions setting up which went smoothly. But my Peets dark roast coffee tasted very bitter. I experimented with the settings to no avail. So I switched to a medium roast coffee and the bitterness went away. I’m a little disappointed I can’t drink my long time favorite French roast decaf anymore. So the jury is still out about the coffee maker.

Only had x2 days, like it. But concerned re carafe top durability ..wish better instructions regarding carafe lid markings, not sure how to set it for brewing. But happy now, will see after time

thermal lining in the pot comes loose

After about a year of light use, the thermal lining inside the pot is coming loose. I may as well throw it out after having consumed some of that lining without knowing. The warranty has expired, nobody cares - nor Melitta or their vendor. I loved this product, so easy to use and convenient, but all that is irrelevant if it already useless after a year. And it's not a cheap product! I may have to go back to a simple glass pot with stewed coffee. Very disappointing!

Thermal lining in pot is peeling away

After a year's use, the thermal lining in the pot is peeling away. Shame because that means the whole item is useless. I'll ask for a replacement and keep an eye on it. Otherwise, this is a great product.

Melitta 8 Cup Coffee Maker

This is nice smaller drip coffee maker that brews a really good pot of coffee. It works well for the two of us and doesn't take up a lot of counter space. The one downside is you need to take the lid off to get the last of the coffee out due to the shape of the carafe. Not a big deal to me, but some may be annoyed by this. I've only had it for a short time so we'll see how it holds up after more use.

The clock is in military time. So if you don't mind reading, for example, 2015 hours - you'll be OK

Better than Cuisinart

After years of using a Cuisinart coffee maker w/grinder, we decided to buy a separate coffee grinder and find a better coffee maker. The Melitta's brew temperature is hotter, and we like the coffee better. Also, the carafe is much better and doesn't drip. We only wish Melitta would sell their European model here which has the glass lining in their thermal carafe.

Almost a four star. 3.5 stars rounded out to 4 stars.

Good. Coffee taste does not have strength to it right as it finishes. If it is on the warmer a half hour it strenghthens the flavor. Need to warm up in microwave. Even in strengthen flavor setting it is a little bland. Quality of maker and glass container excellent. No comparison with the old four cup melitta of years gone by. I can make a better cup of coffee in my little $30 Cook's essential 14 oz. four or five cup coffee maker. I may go back to my little Cook's Essential.

Almost Perfect

So many quality features are included in this product. It brews great coffee, keeps it hot all day without burning thanks to the thermal carafe. The only complaint I could make is that it is extremely difficult to get the last few ounces out of the carafe. The trade off is that the rest of the pot is ridiculously delicious for the product’s price point. Would recommend for anyone looking to replace their current drip model.

Arrived broken and couldnt reorder at same price

Coffee Maker arrived severely damaged, with broken plastic parts in water reservoir and dented outer stainless steel trim. Was well packaged, but must have been handled roughly.

Very nice and cute on my kitchen counter it makes my coffee taste better than others I bought before the only thing I don’t like is how the clock keeps Switching to army mode can the seller tell me what to do about it also when I program it for it to brew in the morning it doesn’t work
