Perfect in-between-season outer wear.

I bought this vest (light colored) vest six weeks ago. I liked it so well that I'm getting a second one in a darker color for everyday use. My light colored vest is dressy and comfortably warm, but overtime I'm certain it will get stained (I tend to be hard on clothing). I'm even getting one for my wife. She get's chilled when in a cool environment anytime during the year. This will keep her warm without making her hot.

It's Columbia...

It is still a little warm to were the vest around here. It's for cool weather golf. The jackets are awesome so I am expecting the same here. The fit and quality are great. This will keep me keep me warm while still being able to swing

Great vest--especially on sale. Husband already had one several years old, still looking good but showing some wear, so I got him another in different colors. (BTW, online the sage green on the front and back looked gold-ish, but it's actually a manly, pale green).

Columbia Steens Vest changed; not for the better

My husband has two other Columbia Steens Mountain Fleece Vest and this one runs about a size smaller than the others and the material is very different. I guess Columbia is joining everything else of using less desirable materials and craftmanship but costing more.

A Bit Pricey, But Nice

I bought this vest as a gift for my husband. It's such a nice vest -- warm and stylish. I wasn't sure if he'd like the two colors together, but it really looks nice. I didn't give it five stars because the color sticks up on one side. No matter how many times we try to fold it down, it keeps popping back up. The odd thing is that the other side folds down and stays down. Overall though, it's a good purchase and it looks good on him.

Nice thin material vest.

This vest was true to size. The material is quality fleece, but very thin. I am wearing this inside my home for warmth, and it is great for this purpose. It would also be good to wear under a larger coat, but not alone against the outdoor elements.

Not the quality I expected from Columbia

Warm and comfortable, but what good is it if you cannot zipper it closed. I purchased 3 of these hoping it was just a fluke, but the zipper has fallen apart on each of them. I should have known better when it happened on the first vest, but I thought it was a fluke. I work way too hard for my money to throw it away on a product of such poor quality. I expected more from Columbia. I will not be buying another.

Great BUT color not as pictured

Nice quality vests and well made. My husband has several of these and after non-stop wear, they continue to look great. My only issue is the "Delta" color that is pictured. Not what we received, so hence the 4 rating versus 5. The photo shown features a two-toned vest, a dark caramel color with a grey trim. What arrived was a solid caramel....no trim. Disappointed but decided to keep. Did think about reordering but would the result be the same? So keep in mind if you chose to purchase this Delta color, it may be solid and not two-toned.

Perfect travel partner!

Looking for a perfect travel partner? This vest (Mr. V) is. It is warm. Folded, it takes minute space in the luggage; weight is just right Mr. V travelled with my husband in the summer. It provided warmth but not too warm in Oxford summer air- Just right. Now post-travel, Mr. V is still busy providing comfort most days. It's time to give it a little relief. Soon, Mr. W will join him for another trip.

[Rewarded Review] Good extra winter layer

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loves vests. This one is very soft and thin enough to be an extra winter layer. He liked the fit and we hope it washes well. Color was good.

Poor qaulity

Very poor quality.. I ordered the vest in both navy and black. Both vests looked shabby like they were already showing wear and tear. Didn't look like a new vest. I would expect better quality from Columbia. Returned both. Would not recommend.

Great product!

My husband is 6’3” and 180 lbs; the LT fit him very well. The length is excellent, and the cut is comfortable and not baggy. While not heavyweight, it is quite warm. It laundered well. He now owns both the blue and the black because they are so practical and versatile, ie sporty/casual dressy.

Generous sizing

I wear a lot of fleece vests in the winter and I wanted to try this. The quality of the fleece is just okay. I’m 5’11” 190 and I wear a large in most brands. This large could probably accommodate a man who is at least 20 lbs heavier. I probably should have gotten a Medium because the lack of a drawstring on the bottom of this vest just makes it look sloppy and baggy on me.

Fleece is cheap feeling and not soft

Fabric was horrible. One of the worst fleece feelings. Black color was not deep. Also has a funny smell like chemicals to fabric. Seems not Columbia quality. One of those made cheap feelings. Bad not soft fleece.

Great Light Weight Vest

Bought one of the a year ago because I worked in an office that had wild swings in temperature. It is almost perfect for that function. It is light weight, warm but breathable. It does run a little snug. Being a vest it is suppose to be close to you body; I am not subtracting points for that. The talks are a bit snugger in the midsection but not so noticeable that it was a problem. after a few wears they loosened up enough that I am quite happy with the vest.

My wife tells me I need to dress like an adult, so she convinced me to buy this vest. I was skeptical at first about adding this piece to my closet, but as it turns out, I really love this vest. I had tried on a Down Patagonia vest one day at her request and it was nice, but the medium size fit me a little snug in the midsection. I normally wear medium shirts from Columbia. I couldn’t justify the price of the Patagonia vest and they didn’t have any Large sizes available anyway for her to talk me into buying. I later found this fleece vest from Columbia and seeing how I’m an avid Columbia wearer, I figured I would give it a shot. I was originally planning on purchasing a Large based off my experience with the Patagonia vest, but the Columbia website suggested my size is a Medium based off previous purchases...so I bought a Medium. It fits perfect. I actually like this vest a lot and I’m sad that I purchased it at the end of winter and will have to wait to wear it again until next year. But as with all my Columbia attire, I’m sure I’ll have it hanging in the closet for many years to come.

This is my first purchase of Columbia sportswear and I'm very pleased. It's actually the best vest I've ever purchased! It keeps me warm on cold, windy days at the beach without making me so hot you have to remove it. Love the deep pockets too. This is a wonderful and good looking jacket. I'm truly pleased with this and absolutely recommend it. Oh, one thing though... (wink)

I just started a new job and was looking for some affordable vest. I searched all clothing stores, but the ones I found were either not good looking or where super expensive. I’ve been to a Columbia store before and I was actually amazed at the variety of apparel and styles they had. These vest are not only very warm, soft, and cozy to wear but they are actually very stylish. They are true to size and most importantly they are not expensive! I bought four of them in various colors! I suggest anyone who wants a great quality vest for an even more amazing price to check these out!
