Review After 9 Years of Ownership

I don't know why I was prompted to write a review for this item I purchased almost NINE years ago, but I'm glad I was! I originally purchased this kitchen cart for use in a very very very small apartment kitchen. Since then, this cart has made three separate moves and has survived every single one without a scratch! This is the perfect meal prep surface, perfect for a coffee station, or perfect for holding a microwave if you don't have room on your built-in countertop. Not to mention, you can store so much in the cabinets and shelves of this cart! I used this to store all my baking items, canned goods, and spices. I am so happy with how this held up over the years and the proven versatility of it. It was affordable enough for me to purchase for an apartment long ago and it still gets used among my things today. 100% worth it!

Nice item - unfortunately, this item ships in two boxes, and they didn’t arrive at the same time. One of the wood pieces was cracked, requiring me to glue & clamp it back together. Now that we got everything & fixed it, it’s fine.

Nice but misrepresented

It’s nice cart, a bit overpriced, in comparison to other sites, but free shipping on 2 heavy boxes is a savings . There are instructions, which have to be followed very carefully - I encountered 2 issues: the screws and bolts come mixed in one bag with no instructions or descriptions - you need to figure it out as you go - and many of these are similar. The other issue was more important - the size (width) is misrepresented. Pictures show cabinet measures 47.4 inches, but it’s actually 40 inches - the other 7 inches are for add on accessories - this is not what I wanted - waiting to hear from overstock about next step.

We bought this years ago. It has held up so well - through 3 kids and lots of slamming of doors (it's where we keep our snacks) and it's still in really good shape!

This is a great cart. I actually use it for crafts.

Nice look, poor quality

This cart once put together is very nice, sturdy, and pleasing to look at. I love the natural wood top. However, several of the pieces came with dents and scrapes in them. And the smell of the chemicals on the wood were so strong it made me feel dizzy, and the cart has been put together for a week now and it still reeks of chemicals. I thought for a $***cart it might be a little bit of better quality.. but overall it serves the exact purpose I was looking for as a coffee cart for my kitchen.

Cancer warning, difficult assembly

The cancer warning was not great… wish I knew prior to purchase! Assembly was extremely difficult. The directions were terrible. All the hardware was bundled in one bag and was difficult to know which screw was which when trying to see it in the vague, unclear directions. It smells terrible (again… chemicals).

Pretty much exactly as pictured. Assembly was not the easiest but not terribly difficult. I switched out the knobs to better match my kitchen and it looks much less cheap (in my opinion). Sturdy and adds a good amount of much needed storage in my kitchen.

I panicked when all the pieces arrived because there were so many and I didnt have available friends to helpIm a relatively strong and handy young woman, but after reading tons of nightmare stories about putting together FredCo furniture, and owning exactly zero power tools, I was nervous I got myself organized, put on some Real Housewives, and poured some wine, and did it myselfI took inventory first and everything was there although I had a few scaresIt took me three glasses of wine and about three hours of not-constant work, and I ended up with a great island None of the pieces were too heavy for me the wood top is definitely heavy Id consider that a positiveLots of different pieces, so look closely at the instructionsYou need good eyesight some of those little images are tinyDouble-check which hardware you need each timeEverything was correctI made two mistakes that I caught not too much laterI would recommend less wineThe instructions were never to blame A few things to note:All the drawers come with the tracks attached alreadyI wish the little door magnets did too they were the hardest to attachI would recommend attaching those before building the whole pieceThere are teeny tiny holes where they goI also put the knobs on everything before I built it, which I think was easierThe door mechanism is genius - no hinges, so theres no risk of uneven doorsYou need a Phillips head screwdriver and a hammer although you could probably do without an actual hammerI also used a wrench because one of my screws was missing the screw part at the top You cannot reverse anything - the two side attachments are different widths so you cant put the spice rack on the right or the towel rack on the leftYou can obviously leave them off I had a couple little blemishes in the pieces, but not nearly enough to notice It feels SUPER sturdy with everything in securelyThe whole thing rolls seamlessly, and it looks exactly as it shouldIm

We bought this for our Branson Condo to add some storage space. Went together beautifully and we love it!

Nice addition to the kitchen

It looks great in my kitchen. It came in two separate packages with lots of pieces. The assembly instruction requires some update. It doesn't provide clear direction. I had to disassemble and assemble pieces few times due to the unclear instruction.

Strong Gas-like Odor for days!

This product seems okay from the description and the photo but as soon as we opened the packaging, our living started to smell like gas. It was all over the packaging and especially strong from the cabinet covers. We read that the gas-like smell can be harmful so tried to air it out with an air purifier and baking soda...but honestly, I don't know if I would ever feel "safe" with this gas-like odor in our living room and kitchen for now three days. I don't want to go through the hassle of returning but I may have to. The directions were not clear and one of the parts did not work so had to visit three hardware stores to find a replacement. Overall, disappointed with this product.

A great addition to your kitchen

I love this cart- it’s not a super quick build but doesn’t take forever either. It comes in two boxes so make sure you keep them both together. It’s really pretty all put together though. I love itB

We had this kitchen island for more then 5 years. It is a very good quality, beautiful design. I would recommend it for a medium to big size kitchen.

Sturdy rolling cart that fits well in a small space. Has nice storage space for its size; adds additional counter space to a small kitchen. Like the additional features such as the spice rack & towel hanger. Buying a second one to put in a cabin in TN.

Durable!! Had it 6 years

I have had this cart for 6 years and I still love it to this day. It has kept up incredibly well. Its easy to clean and is very durable. The top is still beautiful and doesnt stain easily. Very easy to wipe down. I use this as my main cutting area for food preparation and theres plenty of space for a large cutting board and several cannisters for sugar, tea and coffee. as well. I love the side shelf where I keep all my oils and vinegar. Highly recommend
