Reviews

Love this. An original and easy way to display photo's. No need to worry about lining them up on the wall, very simple to hang and pictures can be changed over without fuss. Really happy with this cost effective, great quality picture hanging system

Disappointment

I bought three sets and hung them on the wall above the stairs in my house. Although they look amazing, the execution is horrible. As though the design wasn't fully thought out. You just have to look at them funny and the frames fall off their hooks. 1 day after hanging them on the wall, one frame already came down, is now broken and has damaged the stairs. Already chucked the packaging, so can't return them. We'll have to get creative and think of a solution ourselves but that's not what we paid money for (they were not cheap).

Bought this gift for a friend's 40th birthday and populated frames with photos from an overseas trip. The product quality was high and the exhibition glass style frames create a simple elegance. Looks fantastic with hanging rod on angle (as shown is picture) OR straight. Will be purchasing more!

Disappointed to be honest. In description says fits photos 4 x 6 and 5 x 7. Actual size of glass area is 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 and 6 1/2 8 1/2. This leaves big space around photo and frame, and the backing was a piece of brown cardboard. Other frames I have purchased have had a white card backing, which helped keep picture in place. Here, i have had to stick blu tac to the back of my photos to get them to stay central in the frame and then the wall covering is visible in the glass gap around picture and edge of frame.

Awful

It looks nice in the ad, but the design is not secure, and the packaging glue leaves marks all over the glass, rendering it defective for its intended purpose. If the company is too cheap to use the easily removable gum adhesive usually used for glass, it would've made more sense to remove the entirely unnecessary display photo rather than ruin the product. Also not obvious from the ad is that the metal bars from which the photos hang are on the slimmest of hooks that do not have catches or safety mechanisms. An entirely poorly excuted, overpriced product.

I have had my eye on this for a while as been decorating the living room . I chose the black looks very classy and love the versatility of different ways it can be hung . Packed very well even tissue wrapped . A heavy quality frame not flimsy , can’t wait to put it together and hang photos of my grandson .

Loved so much we purchased again!

We purchased the larger version of these hanging frames to display travel photos and loved them so much we added the smaller set. We get so many compliments about them and love the way they uniquely display the photos! Highly recommend!

This is so awesome!

I bought both sizes and hung everything together so it takes up my entire wall and it looks so amazing! People always stop to look at the photos and compliment the way I hung all 14 photos. Excellent quality too! I’m really happy I didn’t have to wait too long for the company to restock - they were out of stock for awhile.

LOVE these frames!

I have 2 paintings in my living room that I have been looking to replace for a while now, but I hadn’t decided exactly what I wanted to do. I had seen these frames several times and really liked them, but I wasn’t sure if this was what I wanted to replace my paintings with. I have many photos taken by myself and some taken by others that I have been thinking of getting printed and framed. I have so many great shots that it’s been hard to narrow it down. I ended up getting 2 of these which will allow me to pick 10 photos to replace my 2 paintings. I’m still in the process of narrowing down my picture choices, but I am so excited to see how they look. I also love that they’re totally different from my other frames in that the photos are placed between 2 pieces of glass and matting is not required.

at first I thought the broken 8 x 10 glass wasn't a big problem, I can get replacement glass.

Challenging Set-Up

We purchased this product to go along our stairs. I thought our stairs were the average slope and didn't think much of it. It was incredibly challenging getting the angle of the mounting rod to be the same angle as our stairs and ceiling line going up. Aside from the challenge of getting it to line up, the frames now hang at a rather steep angle and have all but forced us to hang all of our photos vertically even though we had wanted to hang some horizontally as well. A very cool product, but I wish it would have come with better mounting instructions/tips and further spaced notches to hang the frames from. I also would recommend having your own drywall anchors as the ones provided are extremely cheap and it would be quite the mess if the system were to come down unexpectedly.

You'll Need Matting

Love the product but in the information there is no mention that you need to add matting. The 8X10 frames are actually 9 1/2 X 11 1/2 so even if you put an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper for matting the entire glass is not covered, thus you need to add matting to fit the entire frame. Ofcourse, if you want the wall to show through the glass then this is not an issue, but you'll need to cut the cardboard inserts that hold pictures in place to match the size of your photos.

Nice concept, but quality lacking

I really liked the concept, but the frames will not hang straight. We’ve learned to live with it since it’s in a hallway and not a focal point, but it’s not good quality especially for the price. I expected better and am disappointed.

Wonky frames do not sit level on the hanging rods.

The picture frames do not sit level on the rods. I've had to put sticky tack behind them to make them look level and not wonky. Each frame tilts either left or right a cm or so, and the top of the frame tilts forward and the bottom is touching the wall. Not really impressed with the overall look of the piece, but I've already tossed the packaging :(. Really wish the frames sat as nicely as advertised on the website.

I think the product is very pretty. It was easy to install and hang. I marked the outer glass frame where the photo edges would be with tape. Once both pieces of glass were secure, removed the tape, and it really helped with giving it the perfect alignment and floating affect

I purchased 2 of these frames. They are very nice. I like that they allow 2 different size pictures. One of the slats of glass was broken. I plan to have Michael's cut me a piece of glass to replace the 1 piece of broken glass. I'm sure I could just plan to have Wayfair send me a new piece of glass, but it is just easier to have Michael's take care of it.

Not worth the money

Not worth the money at all. I expected it to be a little bigger and covering more space, in reality it’s tinier than the advertised photos. It doesn’t cover a decent space, and the photo of the product wad a little deceiving. It was hard to install the product and for the price, the product is very fragile and fiddly. On the plus side, the frames are heavy and good quality but the strings provided are not at all sturdy and I am

The five frames were just right for the project I had in mind. I like that they can be arranged in different configurations. However, the frames and hanger bars are not quite the quality I had thought they would be. I expected they would have been more "solid". I am not using them to float my items which was lucky because one of the pieces of glass was broken. Each frame has 2 pieces of glass to mount your picture between. In my case I just used corrugated cardboard for the back. So I did not reach out to the company about a replacement.

Great concept, not of quality design

I recently bought this so excited to put it on an awkward wall in my dining room filled with C&B furniture and decor! After opening and putting together, I do not feel this piece exemplifies the Crate and Barrel quality that I have become accustomed to. The frames hang precariously from the stems and do not sit flush with the wall. They are very tricky to open to insert your own photos. I am concerned that if they get bumped into, they will fall. Also, because this is an item from an outside vendor, I have been able to find it on other websites for much cheaper costs. C&B may want to reconsider this item in their line.

I thought this would look cheap, but it looks great, not cheap at all. I got the black one to blend in with the black rails on my stairs and I slanted it just like in the advertisement photos. I haven’t changed out the pictures yet that came with it, but so far everyone likes those. I will eventually swap them out for more personal photos. This is a great product and made sturdy enough for me to recommend.
