Horrible
Absolutely garbage product. They don't warn you, so I will They are all different sizes and vary from 1/16th to 3/1 6th Customer support is useless. You can't cut them or the color flakes off. Avoid at all cost.
The tiles are exquisite. They are lightweight and easy to cut. The intricate design gives an entrance into the house the show stopping moment I was looking for. Ordered the same ones but in black and white. The tile will be my accent wall in the master bedroom. Cannot wait for that job to be done too.
I love the design of these tiles. My existing ceiling was tiles, but not drop in, so I just glued these over the existing ceiling. I didn’t feel like making a bunch of cuts around the edges because I couldn’t fit a full sized tile to fill the remaining gap, so I ended up using molding to trim the edges out after the photos were taken.
Worked for me. I'm placing them on the ceiling of a storage room/wine cellar to cover crappy looking silver insulation panels. Makes the space look a bit more special. Personally, I would not hang them in a proper room of the house.
not what we expected
It doesnt really look like it does in the picture. It is very flimsy and looks like it will crack and break easily. We thought it would be thicker and more sturdy. Not sure if we are going to keep this because it us not what i wanted. Will probably return it and keep looking for what i want. Not happy with this product.also way over priced for what it actually is when you get it. Not worth it
Not Great but not Terrible
I was skeptical based om some of the reviews, but for the most part they worked great. They are thin, but not see through. Worked well in the basement. I used foil tape to tape the vertical ones to grid. Only problem is ones that I had to cut for borders. Since they no longer set flat, you can see through to gray back of grid. I am going to go back and put white contact paper on back of grid so when you see through, it is white. Some did crack as I cut them, but it was usually when cut to fast!
Interesting material
Panels are light weight but flimsy. Pretty easy to install. I glued them up using Loctite Power Grab Premium. They are a strange bluish, greenish with bright red (rust) highlights. They do not resemble real aged metal panels. They are single pattern which means they are all exactly the same with only slight variation up and down. This means every panel has the same bright red spot which is very conspicuous. I was looking for something more realistic so I simply spray painted out the worst offending colors. This worked well. This was a larger installation so using scissors wasn't efficient. I used an angle grinder with a metal cut off disk. This creates lots of dust so I suggest wearing a mask.
