Feel Like I’m Getting “Clipped”
I really wanted to like these little lights. I have had the older model with micro USB for about a year and after the clip broke off of my chest strap while night hiking, I bought the newer model to replace it. I had the second one no more than a couple weeks and went to stick the magnet to my toolbox and ANOTHER broken clip! I wish I would have read these reviews first. I really wanted to like these but, the clip is a huge failure. What’s worse is that the replacement clip is half the cost of the whole light! Stuck with two perfectly good lights with out clips, so disappointing…
I would not buy another
I have bought 4 of these! ALL 4 the clip and magnet has broke on them. I did not drop them or be rough with any of them. Need to make the clips metal or something stronger. For the price of these lights i shouldn’t be running into any problems. I will be looking into other flashlights until they fix this problem.
Cheap plastic, batteries are just okay.
Would not recommend.
Battery will not charge just blinks red and green
This is an expensive light with a cheap battery that doesn’t recharge . The battery keeps flashing red and green. Coast is a better brand
Bad battery life
The flashlight is bright and I really like the form factor. The controls are easy to use, the magnet is a plus however.. I got the usb redlithium battery version and the battery doesn't even last 10 minutes. I bought a second battery thinking maybe the battery was bad, same experience. I bought the usb redlithium battery charger thinking maybe the charge part was broken, same experience of less than 10 minute life. It's the flashlight. It just sucks batteries dry too quickly
It's okay
It's okay but needs Improvement. Magnet needs to be at least twice as strong since the only metal places to stick it are not always ideal. It will hold itself fine vertically on a flat metal surface but if you try to stick it on any kind of angle it falls pretty easily. I'm on my second one already. The first one lasted maybe 2 years before it started giving me the Christmas tree lights flashing red and green Milwaukee sent me another one, but said it was a courtesy so I'm not sure if they'll send another one if this one breaks even though it has a lifetime warranty
Big dissapointment
Light output is decent, and battery life is decent on low - i can use it for most of a 9 hour work day. However, the extremely under-powered magnets make this almost useless. I repair vehicles and machinery, so having a magnetic attachment is great. But these magnets are so weak that any vibration, any bump, even from a distance, will knock this light off. It bounces great, but when it lands in a bucket of coolant or oil, the IP54 protection is very quickly destroyed. Very disappointed with this light Milwaukee; strong magnets are fairly cheap, and there is no reason to use suck weak ones.
Great versatile handheld flood light by Milwaukee
This is my second Milwaukee 445 Lumens LED Rover Rechargeable Pocket Flood Light. My last one was stolen as i was buying charcoal for my dinner at a local grocery store. So I had to repurchase this amazing light. I have used it for plumbing work. The magnet works great and holds very well upright and horizontal for hands free work to be done. Using this Milwaukee LED Rover Pocket Flood Light in attics and crawlspaces has been very worthy in such a small compact size. I also have used this flood light for hikes on trails and placed on my backpack. Attached the flood light on my track bike to pedal around locally. I feel like Iron Man having this upon my chest, as onlookers stop and stare as i go by them. I recommend this Milwaukee Rover LED Flood light
Overpriced, Poorly Designed, Unnecessary Proprietary Nonsense
They call this a “pocket light,” but that’s about like calling a foot locker a carry-on bag. This light is way too big to practically carry in one’s pocket, and the clip is designed in such a way that it cannot properly clip onto anything. Also, this (and all of the lights in Milwaukee’s usb rechargeable line) is prohibitively expensive. A reasonable price for a light like this would be $30, MAYBE $40, and it would take any 18650 rechargeable battery, not just Milwaukee’s proprietary nonsense. There is no justifiable reason (unless you count Milwaukee’s excessively high opinion of its own brand) to make an 18650 battery exclusive to a tool (or vice versa). As someone heavily invrsted in both Mileaukee’s M12 and M18 systems, I neither want nor need yet another proprietary battery platform. Milwaukee should just make these lights run off of regular batteries and lower the cost so that they are accessable to people who don’t have Milwaukee money trees growing in their back yards.
Good car or walk light
I like this light . Its ergonomic , can be clipped to a pants or shirt pocket and has a magnet that will hold if directly contacting metal . It will light up a large darkened room and would make a good go to light for home emergencies like brownouts or tripped circuit breakers. Its very lightweight and easy to use . Its not a focused beam like a flashlight the light is more like a mild work light . I keep mine in my car and the mild , not flashlight , style is useful for interior chores . It does stay under the hood with the magnet and would probably work out for roadside emergencies. The magnet will stick to my fridge but not the sink or stove . I wish the magnet was stronger and I wish the Milwaukee braided stainless charging cord was six foot instead of the short stock length but life is merciless and hard and sometimes I have to be content with what I get . I would recommend this light for seniors , gents and ladies for its convenient size , USB charging system, two brightness settings and ease of use . I have used less light under vehicles and under hoods and I think it might be great as a spartan or auxiliary work light but the magnets power might get frustrating. I cant say how long the battery would last for a walk home clipped to a pocket or purse but it is nice to have an illuminated path and the Milwaukee Rover might be a good alternative to a flashlight or keychain light . Massive, bonk your enemy , spotlight a nearby cloud , D cell , Maglite . They can be finicky but they can be a comfort . Small , knurled grip , bright ,blinding light with strobe and cutting edges for counter assault. SOG . However the battery gets low fast and that can be a forgotten chore . Just plain light anyone can use anywhere . Milwaukee Rover . A six foot charging cord like the cord it comes with is the only thing Milwaukee left out for this great little light . Thank you for reading . Have a great day !!!
Great little light, fits everywhere, very bright, great color.
I just threw a new stainless muffler under my old Jeep, used this along with my old twin tube fluorescent corded work light. That light is brighter at about 1,600 lumens, but you're limited on where it fits, and the cord's in the way, and it spins around so it's shining in your face. It's bright, but annoying, but was my best work light out of all the ones I've tried. Headlamps are great, but they don't work well with a welding helmet. The super wide, smooth flood on this lights up everything in the area. No rings, spots or shadows, and the color is pure portable daylight. It's right about 4,000k, which is perfect in my opinion. The rear magnet is marginal, it will slide on shiny vertical surfaces, a bit of rubber would probably help the friction, or more/bigger magnets. The end magnet is great, it was super easy to tuck in around the undercarriage to keep it away from the welding heat and out of the way, not snagging on the cord like my other light. I highly recommend it, and I'll be buying another soon. You should have one in your tool bag or box. If you're going to use it all day, I'd recommend an extra battery, or just buy another light and switch them out when it dies. Great light!

It's alright, I do like that it's rechargeable, it seems built fairly well, it's pretty heavy for it's size. I also like that the light output is regulated so it keeps it's brightness level. Normally I want a light to start on low and ramp up to high, but low is very dim so starting on high is fine. Because of the super wide flood nature of the light unless you were using it for a tent or reading light in the dark high is the only brightness you'll use. I think they are being pretty generous on their 445 lumens rating, I'd say the high mode is somewhere in the middle of the low (250 lumens) and high (500 lumens) on the M12 flood light (2364).

This pocket floodlight is an awesome little tool, with great portability and a respectable 445 lumen output on high for its small size. It does have just one flaw though - the magnet on the back of the clip is too weak. The magnet on the end is plenty strong though, and has no problem holding onto various ferrous surfaces.
Milwaukee 445-Lumen LED Rover Rechargeable Pocket Flood Light is a handy light to have in your toolbox. It puts out a bar of light from a very small package that is cool unlike hot halogen ones with that intensity. This is important if working in tight enclosed spots. Its small only about six inches long and weights under six ounces. When working you can put it anyplace and unlike a flashlight it lies flat on its side or held in place- with a small magnet that really hold it firm. Besides the magnet it has a belt or pocket clip so you can carry it as you would any small flashlight. The magnet for tacking up is great for engine or under the carriage work. I see it used for inspection work or could have used it myself recently doing some plumbing in a dark corner. A small point, there should be more magnets to use it in more positions.
