Very Nice Cabinet

We are very pleased with the look and quality of our cabinet. We are using it in our bath beside the toilet to store TP and other products. We bought 4" high wood legs from another vendor to raise it to a more suitable height for us. The directions for putting it together were thorough and it took about 30 minutes to complete.

DO NOT STACK

I needed a slim affordable cabinet and this fit the bill for those criteria. However, I purchased 3 units and stacked them for even more storage. The top unit was the related cabinet with the glass doors. Per the description these are stackable and meant to go together. Sadly, they're not sturdy enough for that and sag in the middle. This causes the doors to come off track and fall out. This is annoying for the 2nd level cabinet with the wooden doors but it's outright dangerous for the 3rd level cabinet with the glass doors. I had to get a couple of aluminum u channel rods from home depot and install them across the underside of the top of the cabinet to square up the cabinets and now everything is fine now.

Beautiful piece of furniture. Very good quality.

Wow. I am so pleased with the buffet cabinet. The quality of materials and parts are of superb and not just for the money. (a great buy) I am a petite over 55 yrs old female and it took me a couple of hours by myself. My only recommendation would be to have an electric screwdriver and only for the back against the wall cover panel. The rest with a star head and a flat screwdriver. Nicely packaged too.

I am so very pleased with this sideboard. The charcoal grey is an exact match to my existing cabinets. It arrived in less than one week. My husband and I put it together, and every joint, and pre drilled hole fit perfectly. It is a solid piece.

Great Quality! Great price! Easy to assemble!

Arrived quickly, great quality. Product easy to put together. Description matches product. Sturdy, easy slide doors. Does not look cheap. Would recommend to anyone wanting to store items and look great in room

Color: Brown

I have purchased FIVE of these cabinets for my dining room. Three arrived in Dec and were easy to assemble. Doors slide nicely. None of the pieces were damaged and they stacked up nicely. (two high and one beside) I easily added a privacy or frost contact paper to the cabinet with windows, just to dress it up. This month, I ordered two more. I will now have a 3 high stack and two on floor level. For the ones on floor level, we did not add the backing to the cabinet, so that we could keep it further away from the wall. This was the only way to accommodate my InstaPot and larger soup pots. Still stand very sturdy and doors still slide great. The only minor complaint I would have is the dust. Because the sides are open, esp the ones on the floor will get dusty. Nothing a quick swiffer can't fix. Happy with all the new storage I have for my cooking gadgets.

Bought three of these to stack on top of each other as a bookcase, and I love the look of them! Very easy to assemble, and sturdier than I anticipated given the low price point. I love Storage units that actually hide the clutter, so the enclosed doors on the front of these were a bonus. Would definitely recommend using the anti-tipping device on these if planning on stacking as I did. Looks more expensive than they were for sure!

Great storage cabinet, made with sturdy materials!

I ordered 2 of these cabinets as I needed storage under a "bar shelf" between my kitchen and dining room. The walnut finish is gorgeous and the price was well worth it. I had read the details to height. width and depth, so no surprise there. This was what I needed. I would suggest that they put in more adjustment holes for the shelves so that we can put in taller items, without losing the shelf space all together. Other than that, it is well designed and went together easily. (instructions could have been better, but since I have used similar hardware on other projects, I was able to figure it out)

just as described

Fast shipping. Very easy to put together. Seems solid and sturdy. It's smaller than i imagined. I did check the measurements first but its hard to picture it until you actually see it. The only thing I would change is the design with the sides open. I didn't think it would bother me so much but it actually does. There's no way to keep dust out of it. However, I'll keep because it'd be way too much to take apart and ship back.

All but the open sides.

The drawback to this unit is that the sides are open to the air, so dust and dirt can come in and your dishes will still need to be washed before using if they set for any length of time. It was easy to assemble (though can't say the directions were great). Nice color. Looks nice. Certainly not a heritage piece, but then it isn't priced that way either. Good for what it is, except for the open sides.

We bought three of these cabinets to use under a window in our office/studio to wrangle our products and shipping supplies. They keep clutter out of sight, and the sliding doors are great for easy access! We did not glue the top dowels, in case we want to stack them later. Really great quality, fast, damage-less shipping, super easy to put together, too. Would recommend, and would/will buy again, want to try the glass door style too!

Great entryway cabinet

Perfect cabinet for shoe storage. The sliding doors make it easy to hide shoes and open up quickly when you need some sandals. Personally, I think the cut out pattern on the sides is great for odor control since shoes can breathe instead of being cooped up. Other pros are that the unit is stackable in case you need more storage; the assembly took less than an hour; and the color is a nice rich tone. I may buy another if I end up needing more storage.

I'm torn between between the stylish affordability and minor incongruities to the Porch + Den Jefferson Sliding Door Cabinet. For style and cost, I'd give it 5 stars. For packaging, it earns another 5 plus stars. I'd give it 3 to 4 stars for the back panel not fitting tightly. It could have been grooved into the back and laid flush with next to no effort in the manufacturing. Last I'd reiterate other reviews for how the side openings are not covered with glass. Considering this unit costs the same as the unit with glass, the omission in detail seems amiss to a stylish, affordable, and mostly well designed product.

Excellent Additional Storage Piece

I purchased this for additional storage in our kitchen. It is very well constructed and attractive to boot. Works perfectly for overflow of pots, pans, bowls, etc. Well made and pretty easy to put together. Better quality than expected based on great price I paid for it. Have numerous products in my home purchased from Overstock. This is a great storage piece for the money. Looks like it should have been at least double the price I paid. Very happy!

Nice pieces!

Nice set, but the seller sent me 2 of the same type. I bought 1 with wood doors and one with glass doors. They send 2 with wood doors. Now we have to wait for the glass doors. BEWARE of not getting what you purchased and having to wait 15 or more days to get the parts for what you really paid for. I will keep you posted on how long it takes to get the glasses doors, and pay and updated photo then. Also, I added: - legs; - black thick screened mesh fur the sides. I used a staple gun to staple the mesh all around the inside; - I also bought knobs for the woods doors to add a bit of pizazz. Will put them on once the glass doors come in.

The small, hidden, 5th leg in the middle did not screw in tightly at first. When I put more pressure to get it to tighten, I realized it had started breaking the wood on the inside of the cabinet. It didn't push all the way through, but you could see where it was popping up and the wood is warped. Thankfully, it is covered up by my books... Maybe the shorter (E) screw would have been better, but the instructions said to use the (F) screw. Sliding doors are not perfect, as some others have mentioned, but overall, it looks really nice and it great for the price. I stacked one of the ones with the glass door above it and it looks very classy in my dining room.

Perfect for the new homeowner starting out!

I have limited storage space in my kitchen, as well as a limited budget currently, and so this was perfect for what I needed! I bought two of these (one with the solid sliding doors and one with glass sliding doors). It fits most everything I have for dinnerware as well as most cookware! The largest plate I have is 11" across and the outermost door has to be used on the side with that plate in order to fit and have 1" of breathing room. Assembly wasn't too hard and while the instructions recommend this to be a two person job I was able to easily assemble the last one on my own when my husband wasn't available, just took a little longer. The instructions also recommend not using power tools but if you're buying two to stack you'll probably end up needing to use a drill when attaching the two units together. Pros: It's affordable and decent quality. Over time I'll be able to upgrade my storage situation and can repurpose this elsewhere in my home! Cons: You can clearly see where it has to be assembled on the sides but you can probably spackle the holes to cover them up and paint over them.

The little cabinet you didn't know you needed.

This little cabinet was exactly the piece of furniture I needed to tuck into a corner of my breakfast nook-sized dining room and the kitchen. I live in a condo that has enough pantry space, but needed more storage for cans and dry goods I am collecting for food drives in this crazy time where people in crisis are going hungry. That's why I don't mind that the sides are open in this cabinet like some people are complaining about, because it isn't meant for linens by the looks of it to me. I love how the doors slide from left to right instead of opening out because it takes up less space to access. The espresso is dark, dark brown almost black just like my dining room furniture and parts of my countertops. The only complaint I have is that one side's track is a little tighter than the other so one door gets "stuck" and doesn't slide over as freely, but the easy solution to that is to put things I don't need as much on that side. It's lovely and functional, you can display things on top of it without it being too conspicuous, so while I found it for the exact purpose I needed it to serve, I think for the price a lot of people would find great use for one now after coming across it.

The quality of this item is subpar.

The quality of this item is subpar. I have extensive experience assembling furniture. This piece one doesn't meet the minimum standard. One press board piece was damaged (not in shipment, but clearly before it was packed). The screws and dowels provided were not adequate (generally too short or small for the pre-drilled holes). There were smudge marks on one piece. I remedied the structural problems with some glue and additional screws, but I wouldn't recommend this item (or anything else from this manufacturer). Also, check the specs closely before you buy; it's smaller than the photo would lead you to believe.
