Doesn't dry...ever!

Do not use this soil on plants suseptible to root rot. It's been over 2 weeks and soil is still moist. Even mixed with perlite and bark, this soil retains WAY TOO MUCH moisture. It will suffocate and kill your sensitive tropical plants.

This is an excellent potting soil for my tropical plants. With the growing season we have had this summer, I needed to transplant a few of my gems. This was perfect!

Great soil

The miracle grow tropical soil has been working good for me. I use in for my indoor tropical plants. I just started using it and so far my philodendron, tetrasperma rhaphidophora, pothos, spider plant, goldfish plant all love it. I hope miracle grow keeps making this soil.

The mix does not absorb nor properly drain the water, it just sits on top. The soil seems too fine & powdery to be a true tropical mix. I had to repot the plants that I used this for because they were not able to pull water from the soil. I have had better experience with other brands of tropical mix in the past.

We are growing lavender starters to use as indoor plants, they need a great drainage soil to ensure they don’t sit and soak it water and Miracle Frost Tropical Potting Mix. This soil is very light and allows great drainage. Our growing process has been a success and we will continue to use this soil.

Excellent product

This product is amazing! I have 3 Arabica plants and a pink guava all potted in this. It's been about 4 to 6 months since potted in this soil mix and they have tripled in size. I had to buy another bag just to repot the Arabica bean plants.

plumaria friendly

I bought this to repot some plumarias. They like a well draining soil. I was tired of buying potting soil and perlite to mix so Im going to use this on a few. I didnt pay attention to the size of the bag when ordering. It is kinda expensive. Ill have to look for it locally.

Good dirt that makes my plants happy!

Bought this to repot multiple tropical plants that I have. I bought this with the tropical plant food too. After replanting, all of my plants are look very nourished and super happy. Do wish it came in a bigger bag. But I would buy it again!

Normally not a Miracle Gro product user however the packaging listed that this soil is less prone to gnat infestation so decided to give it a try. Also had sansevierias and hoyas that needed potting right away. Soil seems to be light and have good drainagle. I still added some perlite for insurance. Time will tell if the soil will be beneficial to the plants. Can't say if I will repurchase or not at this point.

Excellent at Root Rot

This in no way is properly formulated for monstera, and doesn’t have NEAR enough drainage and WILL rot your plants roots. My experience is mainly with monstera but has done the same even to my alocasias. Horrible product.

I asked a worker what if I should repot my monstera, and he said yes after seeing pictures of my plants. I asked him what soil I should use for my monstera, he told me this would work great and the plant would thrive, well, both my plants are now dead, and the only thing that changed, was putting them in to this soil! I do not recommend it, especially if you have a monstera.

Works for tropical plants

I used this tropical potting soil mix to pot a mandevilla. So far the plant is thriving so it seems that this potting mix has done its job.

I used this potting soil to repot plants from grower pots. Product is fine for my purposes and I have not experienced anything negative.

Tropical Potting Mix gets very compacted.

I agree with another review that this soil mix gets very compacted and does take a very long time to dry out. I don't recommend this mix for Monstera plants, since my plants are not doing well after transplanting to this Tropical Potting Mix blend.

I always buy my plants and potting soil with you. The prices on your flowers is reasonable and also the selection. This is my favorite place to go to.

What I like about the potting mix the most is that is thick and it seems to contain lots of nutrients in it and it also keeps the soil moist. It's too early to look at additional benefits as I bought it a few days ago but I'm confident that my plumeria plants will come back to life soon as they have been dormant longer than expected. If my plumeria plants bloom soon and don't die I'll continue buying this potting mix for sure.

This is a great product especially for growing tropical/warm climate plants up here in the northeast. It was also great for planting germinated seedlings
