Refreshing and yummy way to get in my protein
I'm trying to maintain muscle mass while losing a massive amount of weight. I'm not too fond of thr shake versions of protein drinks. They also usually have more calories too. Not to mention I tried Nutrisystem during covid...so I'm just sick of chocolate shakes lol
Tastes great, high price, bit hard to mix
This is a great alternative if you are sick of milky protein powders - this one tastes refreshing and like a watermelon juice drink. It's not overly sweet and has a very pleasant flavour (no artificial aftertaste either which is impressive). However, some things to note: (1) do not put this in a blender as it will froth and foam and build up pressure which will make your blender lid pop off; (2) it is a bit hard to mix as it clumps so you really have to shake it vigorously; (3) the price is crazy for the amount and the protein weightage is not that great compared to some other 'milky' standard protein powders. Overall, it's a great product if you want a change, but can't replace a more classic protein powder such as Allmax or BSN.
I've had isopure protein powder in the past and it's not my favorite brand of protein powder. The taste and texture was off-putting, but I thought the macros were decent for the price. Lots of protein without filler, no sugar, carbs, fat, fake sweeteners like a lot of other protein powders. When I saw this at the store I thought I'd give it a try. It's definitely tastier than the last time I tried this stuff. The fruit flavor is alright albeit a little artificial tasting and a tad too sweet. The texture is a problem. Like most protein powders this one doesn't blend well in a shaker bottle. A little sticks to the bottom every time. You have to use a blender. I don't mind the foam, you have to wait a few minutes for it to go down, but the texture makes it impossible to make on the go unless you have a portable blender or make it before you leave the house. I do want to try other flavors though because this is something I don't mind drinking on its own with just water. The macros are decent too.
Good quality
On the more pricey end but this stands out as the least sweet clear protein drink I've tried, and I've tried 5 so far from different brands. It's almost on the tangy side even. For this alone I plan to repurchase and try other flavors.
[Rewarded Review] Hydrates and nourishes muscles
I received a complimentary sample of Isopure Infusion Protein Powder watermelon lime flavor in exchange for my honest opinion. I mix 1 scoop of the protein powder with a 16 oz cold bottle of water. This powder contains 20 grams of protein and only 90 calories. This drink has a light refreshing summer like taste without the chalky feel. I noticed a slight after taste but it was definitely not too bad. I generally drink this while I am working out. This product serves a dual purpose, it hydrates the body and fuels the muscles for quick workout recovery. It is foamy after shaking so I leave it sit for a minute before consuming.
[Rewarded Review] Strong artificial stevia taste, not for me.
In theory, the Isopure watermelon lime protein powder is a good idea. I like that it makes a normal drink rather than a thick shake like many other protein powders. However… I was NOT a fan of the taste. I thought it was really stevia heavy and a bit sour, and I was worried I was going to get a stomach ache if I continued to drink it. My husband, on the other hand, found it to be “okay” and said to give it a 3/5. Based on the taste, I would give it a 1/5 and not purchase again. It gets really, really foamy when mixed (see images) so make sure you mix it in something that has a lot of room for the powder/foam to bubble. Otherwise the powder will be chalky. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I will not purchase in the future.
[Rewarded Review] Only a handful of ingredients
I received this product for free from influenster and Isopure in exchange for my honest review. This product tastes great! It mixes well with water and I thought tasted the best with ice. It was perfect for after a workout. I like the ingredients and it didn’t taste chalky to me so I can say the texture was decent compared to other protein mixes. It was a nice change to have citrus lemonade flavor vs the typical vanilla or chocolate. Only lists a handful of ingredients which is important to me when finding a protein powder. I love how whey protein isolate was listed as the first ingredient. Another favorite part is this product lists on the packaging that it was manufactured in the USA which is very important to me to support our economy.
mixed with some diet juices....man
Im a bariatric patient. ive been having a hard time with protein. so i got this to try and i bought ocean spray diet 5 cran- pineapple to mix with this. Yall for me it was a game change sooo good. texture has not been altered at all. after taste is almost none. now mixing, i mean i mixed this before adding ice. there was foam as stated on the can but it went away within about 10mins. so if you like me and have to wait 30mins after eating its perfect rime to mix this and then after foam went away i added ice. so good. a little tart but so much better than shakes.
Love it!
I love this option to not have to stomach a heavy shake in order to fit in my protein. When it is hot in the summer, I don’t always want the heavy chocolate or vanilla before or after a workout. This allows me to get more water intake and protein. I still feel full after drinking this, as I would with the regular Isopure protein. The flavor is great and I find that it is easier to mix with room temperature water (better for workout purposes anyways). I would recommend this and I cannot wait to try the other berry flavor! The only negative was that my canister was only half full. Not sure if it has to do with the way protein is packaged or if it is to cut cost and use a universal tub, but less plastic is always better.
My favorite protein powder
This has to be best quality protein powder on the market, honestly. I think the ingredients are clean. The taste is amazing. I like how fresh and summery the flavors are.
Refreshing and unique
I purchased the mixed berry and love it. Its a refreshing change from the milkshake varieties. Perfect for summer. I also love that it is an option that is NOT chocolate or peanut butter flavored. Love the calorie/macros profile. I purchased it along with the Contigo Shake and Go bottle and mix my drink in water at night. Leave in the fridge and it's ready for me the next day. No problem with mixing. Dont expect a really sweet drink. Its very light, which I think is ideal.
Good alternative to traditional protein powders
The Infusions Protein Powder is a good alternative if you're like me and don't like the thick texture of traditional protein powders. I try to sneak extra protein in my diet and find protein powders a good way. However, I don't particularly enjoy them as they're often thick and milkshake like. The Infusions Protein Powder is different in that it's a very watery consistency and after shaking/settling, it becomes translucent. Despite this, this product is very very sweet tasting. I normally don't mind sweet, but this is almost unbearable. I'm drinking it to finish up the product but wouldn't repurchase this flavour. I would love it if Isopure made an unsweetened/unflavoured version like they do with their traditional protein powder. The tropical punch flavour itself isn't bad, but it's just too strong and sweet. I would also recommend increasing the amount of water to dilute it a bit more. Please keep in mind, however, that this is purely subjective and everyones sweet tooth is a bit different. Overall, it's a good product. I like the minimal ingredients list, the consistency, and would try other flavours to see if they're less sweet.
Love it!
I really like this protein! I’m not a fan of the milky heavier protein shakes (esp the milky ones, they make me barfy) and I’ve tried other brands of this type and didn’t like them. The mixed berry is SO good! Like everyone says, it does foam a lot when you first shake it. I opted to mix mine, let the foam die down in the fridge and then I poured it over ice. I felt like it dissolved really well and there was no weird chemical after taste like so many of the others. I do wish it was a little less expensive though. But it’s worth it to find something my stomach can tolerate and doesn’t make me feel super full.
Tastes great but needs work…
Overall, I liked the taste and the idea of drinking protein water instead of something milky. First issue is that it has the consistency and behavior of baby powder. It gets everywhere! Even when being careful of scooping it into my mixer, it makes a mess. Second issue is that it never mixes completely so I doubt I’m even getting the full protein serving. I followed the directions as listed on the label about shaking and even used a shaker with a center mixer. This stuff never completely mixes. Great flavor but product needs work. I won’t buy again as I found a better one to purchase.
Best protein powder I’ve tried
The taste is more bearable than traditional whey powders and the texture is too. I hate the texture of most protein powders because they’re thick but this is more like juice. It does not have a milky consistency like some reviews said and you definitely do not need to wait an hour for the bubbles to settle after shaking, the reviewer who said otherwise is being dramatic lol. My bubbles settled one to two minutes after shaking (leave the lid/top off during this time) and I had no issue with clumps. There is a slight whey aftertaste so I like to mix in a packet of crystal light so it truly only tastes like juice. The tropical punch is great.
Just Don't
Be prepared to wait after you mix this drink. It foams badly and never thoroughly mixes. I have been struggling to drink protein drinks lately so I thought I would get this and try it. I thought "juice" would definitely taste better and be smoother. It smelled good when I opened the Tropical Punch flavor but then when mixed it becomes bitter. The texture of the drink is definitely not juice like its like milky juice. I wanted to like this so bad but it is just gross. I will make my next one with half a scoop to see if I can stomach it but otherwise it's going to the trash.
Wasn't optimistic but pleasantly surprised
My 15 year old son does not eat meat. We are using this to supplement his diet. This is the first protein product he has been able to tolerate the taste and texture of. It doesn't taste natural, it is very tart, but does not have a terrible flavor. It is clear and easily drinkable. We bought one to try and shave since purchased additional product as he drinks it every day. I make it the night before and refrigerate for the next day as it creates a lot of foam after shaking.
