To sell this to the public as something they might assemble themselves at home is nearly criminal...

To sell this to the public as something they might assemble themselves at home is nearly criminal. I hired a plumber who had to take it to his shop and spent hours putting it together. So one huge plumbers bill later I have a huge tower which puts out minimal heat and burns through an entire tank of propane each time it is used. This was a terrible waste of my time and money and I am very unhappy with Home Depot for not making it clear that professional assembly was necessary. The product is well made and sturdy.

I am so happy with this purchase! I bought it so my elderly father, who’s always cold, could sit out on the deck and stay warm while watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play in the yard. It was easy to assemble and easy to operate! Looks nice, too!

GREAT fire pit table!!

LOVE this fire pit table! It was pretty easy to assemble. Easy to light. I did not use the laca rock it came with i bought fire glass pieces instead seperate from Home Depot.

not enough lava

nice fire pit for a great price. only complaint is the lava rocks. there aren't enough to cover the bottom tray and it leaves several gaps. had to purchase extra to cover the bare spots. Overall a nice fire table. Easy to assemble, looks good and works great

Great Customer Service DOES exist!

I, too, had an issue with keeping it lit at first. I called the customer service number and "left a message" never really expecting to be called back. Well, I got a call from Cliff a few hours later. I had since resolved the issue, switching LP tanks it worked fine. Switched back to the original (newly filled) tank and everything was fine. So, when Cliff called I thanked him and said everything was fine. He could have taken it at that and moved on, but, he wanted to do some more trouble shooting to make sure. Turns out, this condition where the unit will light but not stay lit unless the knob is held in is a result, most of the time, from a loose thermocoupler nut on the back of the valve assembly. Simple fix. Tighten the fitting. It is a good safety feature that works exactly as the gas water heater or gas fireplace that many have in their homes. Cliff took the time to explain how it worked and pin-pointed the issue quickly and professionally. Customer service DOES exist!

GREAT Firepit!

We bought this to set on the deck at our lake house, since for obvious reasons you shouldn't place a wood burning fire pit on a wooden deck. It was very easy to assemble with 2 people, although 1 could probably do it with extra time. We hooked up the gas tank, closed the door, poured the lava rock in and it lit the first time. I"m not sure what those people who had an issue keeping it lit are doing wrong, but we never had an issue lighting it. It does have a thermocoupler that has to get hot before your fire pit will stay lit. So holding the pilot in for 10 or 15 seconds after it does light is very important, then you can let it go and turn it from low to high with no issues. I liked the fact that it is ALL metal. Some of these firepits have the fake wicker and that stuff does NOT hold up I will tell you from past experience. It also has a ledge all the way around the perimeter to sit drinks, small plates on which is a nice feature.

Great fire pit.. everything works great and fires right up. Only complaint is that there is not enough rocks included. After you spread them out, there is gaps and holes, so you you don’t get the authentic fire look... would have got a five star review if there was 19 to 26 more rocks in the package

Ignitor a Dud

Easy assembly. Looks nice. Good size. Great price. BUT, the ignition switch is very finicky and takes A LOT of finagling to get started. Once started, it was very nice. Not starting consistently is very very frustrating though and I do not want to deal with that issue. 1-800 help desk helpful and polite. I spent $50 more and bought a different brand at my local hardware store.

Great pit

Assembly was super easy. The pit works great and gives off good heat. Be careful not to set it up on concrete as you will get some scratches.

Assembly was easy. Works great! Looks great! Very pleased! The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is there was NO electronic lighter hidden in the base or the box! I purchased mine from Walmart Onley, Va.
