I am quite happy with the appearance of the clock but, I am having trouble getting the alarm switch to work properly. Even though I switch it to the off position the alarm continues to ring. I have just tried it again & it seems to have connected off this time. I will see how things go for another day. If the switch is still giving me a problem by tomorrow, I will arrange to return it. Very nice. Looks nicer than you review picture. In the picture it looks off center and nearly made by pass it. It is centered and I am pleased.

This is a very, very pretty clock and an excellent value (sale). I would recommend it enthusiastically. I am returning it only because I was looking for a quietly ticking clock & this isn't. Even then, I debated keeping it, because it is so pretty. I think most people will love it. Info: It has a very quiet whirl that you probably won't hear, unless you put the clock to your ear. This is a small clock w/ loud 12 hr. alarm (set each night). Neither the face nor hands light at night. In some of the pictures it wasn't clear if this clock was symmetrical. It is. Glass circle sitting centered in 1/2 moon weighted wooden base. I would avoid keeping it on any surface that might get knocked. It could cause it to fall over.
I loved the dana table alarm clock.
