Finish is a little rough in spots. Seems like it could do with some fine sandpaper to smooth it out but I’m afraid to ruin the black finish. They look great and are sturdy. I think they’re comfortable (husband disagrees). Came fully assembled with loads of padding. Chairs are ready to go so hardest part is cutting down all the boxes. I would purchase again; no regrets!

As described. However the seat is not as smooth as it should. It could snag some delicate fabric. It’s the only downside, as it was delivered in an excellent packaging, already assembled. A good purchase overall.

Chairs are well made and color is true to the pictures on HD website. The “formaldehyde smell” that others have complained about comes from the foam packing. Wiping them with Murphy’s Oil soap gets ride if the smell quickly. We are happy with the product

Beautiful chairs. I purchased the walnut finish. True to Houzz photo. Chairs came well packaged arriving on separate days. Strong(!!) smell to them but it dissipated quickly once out of the box. Thank you! :)

After much research and looking at many photos from actual reviews of dining chairs on line we chose to order these based on that they look like a dark walnut color however they are not dark walnut the finish has a very orange stain hue. Very disappointed. Attached photo of sample our custom table is being stained and the actual chair delivered. Not even close to a dark walnut. Photos on website are not accurate color representation. We ordered 8 and unfortunately will be returning all 8 chairs. They are very sturdy just color us not At described.

The chair itself seems sturdy, but light. They’re beautiful chairs, BUT the dark walnut color is NOT dark walnut. It is definitely more of a honey tone. I’m going to return the chairs as it isn’t the color that I was looking for. Just pay close attention to the two tones that are pictured for dark walnut. Your chair will be the second chair pictured, not the first.

Sturdy but not good quality

Color should read “honey walnut” as certainly more golden undertones. Sloppy application of the wood stain (inconsistent spots throughout). The seat was already pulling up (ouch if you’re wearing shorts!) %26 finish on seat was already rubbing off. However, they are only ~$100 %26 very sturdy!

Holding Up Well

I've had these chairs for close to two years now, and they've held up well (especially considering my kids use them!). My only complaint is that one of the chairs has some cracks in the frame now, but it's still usable. I like that they came fully assembled. We purchased them when we moved into a new house, and we didn't have time to assemble a bunch of furniture! They're just the right color and style for what I wanted.

These chairs are beautiful. I love the color. Well made and packaged perfectly. No assembly was a huge plus!! UPDATE I have had these chairs for only 17 MONTHS and the color (I purchased gray) has completely faded and they are now beige. They no longer match my table and I am extremely disappointed. I reached out to wayfair to see if anything could be done and the first customer service representative told me if the manufacturer could not offer a replacement, wayfair would. When modway told me they didnt have the chair in stock and only offered a one year warranty I called wayfair back. The new representative told me that she didt know why I was told a replacement would be offered and I was given the wrong information. I am so extremely dissatisfied that I spent hundreds of dollars on chairs that ONLY lasted 17 months and there is nothing wayfair will do. I recently had my house renovated and purchased so much from wayfair. I am beyond disappointed in their customer service and will think twice before I ever purchase furniture again from wayfair.

Black chairs

Ordered 6 of these chairs. Delivery was delayed, which is not the chairs fault. When they did come, they had been packaged nicely, 1 chair in each box, and no assembly. Of the 6 chairs 3 have issues. 2 have damage from shipping, with paint scratched off, and some of the seat ratten is broken off, 1 also has paint chipped off of the nail head, and 1 foot of the chair chipped. 1 chair is SUPER wobbly. I hoped it just needed to be sat in, but that hasn't helped. The seat ratten is wood underneath and not padded. The ratten does scratch your legs if wearing shorts. BUT These chairs are beautiful!

Love these chairs! They're very lightweight but classic looking. The cane seat sets off their sophisticated look. I've paired with a light oak round table & it has drawn compliments! My only warning is using FedEx! I asked them to hold at a pickup facility & some brainiac only put the 'HOLD' sticker on one of the four boxes, so guess what? Yep, 3 boxes were delivered to my house. I had to call a good (very) friend to come get them while I was out of town, and then the 4th box wasn't delivered to the p/u site until a week later. Figure that one out! If I could find another delivery service, I would suggest that. FedEx is always unreliable!!

I have seen similar chairs at retailers and thought the quality at Wayfair would be better as the price was higher ($120 vs. $99). I was wrong. While the chairs shipped quickly, were well-wrapped/packaged and are as pictured, I could not have anticipated the quality being so poor. The chairs are extremely unlevel. Three legs touch the floor and one is about 3/4 inch too short (on all 3 chairs). This is extremely disappointing. The chairs wobble and rattle and feel unstable. I also could not have anticipated how rough these chairs would be. I love a rustic feel but the inconsistency of the paint (white wash), material and craftsmanship is just poor rather than rustic. I regret getting these and wish I had purchased them from another retailer where I could have chosen similar items but made sure the quality was better than these and tested them for level/stability. The seats are comfortable and the height perfect. The weight is very light and easy to lift. Update: Wayfair replaced the sub-par chairs and I couldn't be happier with the replacements. I was impressed by the customer service.

In fact I actually ordered these chairs first off Wayfair and sent them back because Overstocks were ordered later and came faster and at a way better deal mind you! I saved about 300 bucks. And then with the rewards I was able to buy a new foam mattress cover so you can't lose with Overstock! People complement these chairs all the time! They are super comfortable for short people like me and tall people like my children.

We love the look of this chair. The only reason for 4 stars is that it has a slight wobble from one leg, when you sit on it it's fine though. The leg is not loose, just guessing that one of the four legs is not perfectly level with the others. We have it on carpet which helps. It already has floor protectors on the bottom of each leg which is nice. It's very well packaged, my husband said it took awhile to get into it. Time will tell if the cane seat will hold up, but I am planning on using chair covers to extend the life of the seat. It's remarkably comfortable. This was our test chair, and I ordered 7 more to go with it. Will update my review after receiving them. We chose walnut, which is a rich, warm color.

I ordered four chairs in black. I love the classic bistro design. They are a good proportion and fit nicely around the table. They are very comfortable and look attractive in the breakfast nook. For those reasons I feel they deserve a positive review. However, my order had issues with manufacturer quality control. I was not interested in a "distressed" look with the black finish. Two out of four chairs had defects that could not be overlooked. One example is a deep crack next to the padded seat which appeared to have an apparent attempt to repair. Wayfair customer service is is very accommodating and replaced them. (I sent photos of defects.) Within three days a new pair was delivered. Quite obvious one shipping carton was upside down with the address label adhered to the bottom! No surprise I found the top of the chair on the bottom of the box and damaged. The second replacement showed no visible defect. That is until we sat in it! One leg is uneven making the chair rock. We chose to correct this problem by adding a self stick pad to the fourth leg. Please also note, the putrid odor (as other customers reported) was indeed extremely noticeable! We put the chairs outdoors on the deck for two days to dissipate the rather unappetizing smell. Disappointing odds are fifty-fifty to receive four undamaged chairs. All in all it was worth it to keep the acceptable chairs after experiencing excellent Wayfair customer service.

Finally a chair that doesn't scratch up my wood floor...woohoo! Great style and love the color. Just enough metal accents to keep it looking a little rustic. I would have given it 5 stars but the woven seat/insert isn't totally smooth so if you're bare-legged or wearing stockings, you'll feel the texture and maybe snag your clothes. I bought a couple of seat cushions just in case they're needed for guests in "finer" clothes. Really lightweight...I could easily lift two of these chairs in one hand... that said, they don't scratch up my floor when guests are scooting in/out. The legs already have nylon tips for protection as well. Worth every penny and would definitely buy again. Extra bonus that they come fully assembled and beautifully packed.
