Real easy installation if you're flexible

I replaced a leaking Peerless faucet with this model. I saw the display at Lowe's but the display model was out of reach for a touch and feel. It looked nice so I bought it. It installs fairly easy but the whole assembly (except sprayer) is held down with a large plastic nut that instructions say to hand tighten. The old faucet had two side plastic nuts to tighten which gave a sturdier mount. Also the metal plate is held just by pressure from the center faucet tower - so it isn't spread out on the side 'wings'. Though I tightened by hand at first, I still used some adjustable pliers to tighten it further. Looking up from under the sink, I could see some light around the edge. I'm disappointed with the seal as some have mentioned and the potential that the faucet will shift with time. If I have to take it apart in the future, I'll definitely used some better gasket material in the hopes of a better seal.

Loose cover

Bought and installed. This only has one nut to hold the whole thing on. The wordt thing was that the metal cover stays loose when the nut is tightened. I bought because I didn't think Moen made junk products. I was wrong. I returned it.

Fairly easy install, Requires tools.

I would be considered an advanced DIY--I built and plumbed the house. I purchased this to replace a faucet of the same model that had failed due to corrosion and worn o-rings at around 6 years. Keep in mind that my original builder-grade Moen was replaced at 25 years when the handle connection wore out. This newest version has a seal at the base of the faucet, which is a vast improvement over the two prior versions. However, nstead of the two easy stud-nut fasteners on the last version, this employs a gland nut on the main unit. Tightening this nut in the 2 inches between the bowls and back wall is a real chore, requiting long pliers and considerable cursing. Including a spanner for this nut would be a plus. I appreciate the supply lines being included. The appearance is nearly identical to the Moen Alder of 6 years ago and the spout moves much more easily. Overall good product. Time will tell on durability--something the proir version sorely lacked.

Easy Peasy Install!!

Real chrome. Love Love how water spots just wipe away easily. Easy peasy install. Operates well. Very durable and you can feel it when you lift, push down, push left push right. If want basic kitchen faucet and made well, this is the one.

This affordable Moen faucet replaced a similar single handle faucet that was so old it didn't have a name on it. Once the 40 year old plumbing parts were removed, it was EZ to install this faucet. Did I mention it was very easy to install the new faucet. It works well and carries Moen's long term warranty. I recommend it and would buy it again.

Leaks

Water from wet hands runs down the faucet handle, down the faucet body and then into the seam at the top of the escutcheon & the seam at the bottom of the escutcheon &then into the cabinet under the sink. Does not leak when faucet is off or running - only leaks from wet hands but can get a few tablespoons if cooking and rinsing/cleaning often. Technical support wants to send new cartridges & new gasket. The hard gasket under the escutcheon used on multiple Moen models not effective.

Good product, good installation

I purchased the Moen kitchen faucet on a Sunday With the installation service. The faucet arrived on Tuesday. I Received the install Email on Monday for the kitchen faucet to be installed on Thursday around noon. The Angie service representative Pro Steve did a very good job with the installation and is a very capable installer. The installation was as advertised and everything works.

I really liked the quicker Install time

We bought this Moen Kitchen faucet to replace a faucet that we have had for a number of years. I loved the looks of the non-Moen faucet and this Moen was a close match. I dreaded having to install another faucet on my back inside the sink cabinet. This Moen faucet was advertised on the box that the install time should be 40% less than normal. It's true, It was a lot quicker than I expected. Everything went together as it should. The two water lines went on fine and the best thing was that we had water again and no leaks. This Moen install made me feel like a veteran Plummer, oh, and it looks really nice too.

Nice!

The plumber just installed the faucet today and it works great! Because I was buying the faucet, I asked the plumber what brand he recommended, and he said Moen.

Attractive Design, Straight-forward Installation

The faucet is attractive and functions well. The installation was straight-forward and fairly well described, although I'd recommend 2 improvements: (1) revise the order of operations to allow as much assembly as possible to be performed above the countertop; (2) improve the sprayer hookup description to eliminate the "up" and "down" descriptors - since they're not meaningful in the installed context - but rather improve the illustration and emphasize that it only snaps into place one way, i.e., it really won't assemble wrong (which of course is good). The gasket seems very minimal. It's only been installed 3 weeks, so I can't provide a "durability" rating.

Great product with one design flaw

I purchased and installed this product in part based on good experiences with Moen going back to childhood. It is infinitely better than the (Delta) faucet I struggled with for years with a ball valve that had one tiny sweet spot to turn it off (that ultimately disappeared entirely.) This one has a cartridge valve that lets you independently set the volume and temperature. It also lets you retain the temperature setting when you turn it on and off. The one design flaw is that the escutcheon attaches under the sink with a single centered knob that will inevitably work loose as you use the sink, requiring you to go underneath and tighten it again. Still, this is so much better than the old faucet, for a lower price than I paid for that, I am grateful for it every day and it's made washing dishes fun again.

Very low flow

This did not say it was a low flow faucet but it is less than half the water pressure of the faucet I replaced. It could be due to the installation. The person Lowe's sent to install it seemed absolutely clueless and really struggled to get it installed. Whatever the reason, this faucet is terrible. Takes forever just to fill a small glass of water, let alone a huge pot when cooking.

Design flaw between base plate and spout

I've read the evaluation of "ssinfo" and I totally agree with it. There is a design flaw between the base plate and the spout, where there is no seal. If fact, there is a "split ring" made of black plastic, the split measures 3 mm, this is where the water can infiltrate (for example, when our hands are wet and we handle the lever, water will drop to the base and get through the little opening).

Very nice and simple faucet.

Needed a new faucet to replace the old one and I went with this moen as it was almost identical to my previous one, but updated. Installation was a breeze. The hardest part was removing the old one. The connections were simple and there is plenty of hose (included) if your turn offs are far away. Very pleased with this purchase. Only one downside is that it is a mirror finish, shows water spots like the old one bit there wasn’t a brushed option available that i know of.

Nice, inexpensive and somewhat easy to install

I needed to replace our kitchen faucet so I research to see which one to buy. However, I was limited in choices as we use a special water filter that connects to the aerator. I chose this one and it did not disappoint. Installation was not bad. My only issue and it was the locking nut was a little hard to tighten but that was because I had very limited space under my kitchen sink. The directions also were not clear but I think the part with the threads faces up. I could not tighten the nut enough to fully secure the deck plate which is a little loose. I tried to unscrew the nut but it was very hard (again due to the tight space that I was working with).

Faucet is leaking between the base plate and spout

Hello, I really wanted this faucet to work well since the price range and quality/cost seems very good.

Nice Replacement for Old Faucet

I had a very old Moen faucet that had the handle break from the spray nozzle and needed replacement. The new nozzle would not stay attached and the hose needed to be replaced but I could not get that hose to detach from the old faucet. So I decided to just replace the entire thing. As several have stated in their reviews, the hardest part was getting the old faucet removed with all of the corrosion and caulking locking it in place. Once I had it removed, installing this new faucet was as simple as could be. Everything was documented perfectly and I had no questions about the install process. I have heard of the faucet rotating because of the single attachment point but I have not had an issue with this yet. I do wish there were maybe some plastic sleeves that dropped down maybe 1/2 inch from the deck plate to fit into the 2 side holes to prevent any rotation but I am happy so far. The faucet works great. I would definitely recommend this for the price and ease of installation and use.

Seems nice for the price.

I LIKE that the faucet operates smoothly & easily. I DO NOT LIKE that the supply lines and fittings are integrated. If the plastic braided supply hoses break, you have to replace entire faucet or splice in a fitting (adding another potential leak point, but I'll choose that option). I DO NOT LIKE that there is only one big central plastic securing nut instead of 2 smaller ones at the ends. The MOEN faucet I replaced was installed in May, 1977 - 45 YEARS ago!!! The spout started leaking in the swivel center portion about 10 years ago. Moen said the large 'skirt' spout gasket had not been available for many years (decades?) so I 'refreshed' it and it was fine for a few years, but it started leaking again. They did send a new cartridge, but I didn't need that, it ended up in a bath faucet! Also, on the old faucet where the handle stem mechanism and cartridge meet was so worn that it took a little skill to turn on. If this new faucet lasts HALF as long as that old one, I'll be happy! But for now, it's a nice faucet. So far, so good.
