I have the smaller M200 and with the flat plate there is plenty of grill to have both a grate and flat top to cook on.

Great Accessory
Love having the option to use the cooking plate while also grilling. Taking off one star since there are no care instructions at all, so not sure about the proper way to season or clean.
Just used this in place of the grate last night. Cooked some stuffed potatoes on it.

Love my Mesa 405BZ!
I purchased the Mesa 405BZ and am in love with this grill! It is a joy to grill on and with the sear burner in the middle with the crosshatch cast iron grill it makes my steaks look and taste like they came from a top tier steakhouse. I didn't realize all of the control knobs light up for evening cooking and it dazzles everyone that has seen it. Clean up is easy with a little window cleaner and a microfiber towel and even the window in front is easy to keep clean. This is my first Monument Grill and I am very impressed with the quality and style. I am recommending Monument grills to all my friends and neighbors, keep up the great work!
