A really neat product! I've purchased the silver, model with clamp and have it affixed to a metal side table that's barely 1/16". It cleanly hides monitor cords and was pretty straightforward to put together. It's also very sturdy. The only down side is that I thought the arms would have been a bit less chunky. However I see the girth is necessary to store the cords. It does what it's supposed to so I'll zip my lip and enjoy it.
I bought my MI-2781 a month ago, love it and recommend it to my fellow engineers working from home. It is a great product for the price. I was concerned the weight of my two 24" DELL monitors would make the free standing V base front heavy and front tipsy. This has not been an issue. The moment arm distance from the center of the vertical post to the front fulcrum line of the V base is about 8" and the center of mass of my 2 monitors is about 5.5". See my attached diagram. It would be helpful if the Mount-It website would include the 8" forward moment arm length in their diagram.
I love my Mount-It! - Dual Monitor Desk Mount - Silver. This item allows me to easily adjust both of my 27” Dell monitors. There was no assembly required – just take it out of the box and attach it to your desk. I also like that there are two USB connections. I recharge my smart phone with one and use the second to plug in the USB chip for my wireless keyboard and mouse. It was worth paying a few extra dollars for my mount it and I like the color. Best Buy had the best price for this item.
This monitor mount is much better than our old one. With our old one, you have to move the assembly up and down a pole and it tightens with an Allen wrench. This one adjusts in about any configuration you want. I bought this one for another employee because I like mine so much.
Love the mount - use it with my two 32" monitors every day for work. Good quality, stable, and looks so good!
Incredible Quality
I've tried 3 different monitor stands, and this one is the best by far. The quality is superb and it looks great. I'm using it with 2 27" monitors, but it could easily hold 32" monitors. Adjustment of the monitors is so simple and the stand is very sturdy. While it's a little more pricey than some of the others, it's worth the extra.
A solid mount, with a good clamp, hefty base, tight tolerances, and well-engineered pivots. There is some give in the final coupling between the arm end and the VESA bracket due to the quick disconnect, but it's taken up and damped by the disconnect's spring, and only really manifests itself if you're rotating the monitor between portrait and landscape. Plenty of lift in the gas cylinder to fully counterbalance a 14 lb LCD TV plus cables, after adjusting the preload and tilt screws.
A pretty decent desk mount for the price! The only anoying thing is a challenge to change the position but I'm happy with it;
Bought this to mount two monitors in my office. Was pretty unsure about how it would end up, but it was so much easier than I thought. You can either clamp it / tighten it onto the side of your desk (so there would have to be an overhang spot for it), or you can drill a hole and use that hole to tighten it down. I was able to just tighten it to the side, and it took hardly any time at all. The cord organizers are also super convenient for keeping the cords from dangling and looking ugly. Just make sure your monitors would work with it!!.. the monitors with a curved back wouldn't work, the have to be VESA monitors (i.e. have a flat part in the back where you can screw in the mount).
Fantastic monitor arms with easy setup. Far better than cheaper versions. I would order again. The instructions are clear, the setup couldn't be simpler, and the adjustment ranges (forward, backward, up, down, angle left-right and tilt) are excellent. Quick release monitor connections are a nice touch as are the channels to hide cables in.The only thing you might want to be aware of is that the clamp is very close to the edge of the table, i.e., it is not set more than 1/4" from the edge of the desk/table. If the edge has a lip on it (folding tables, trim, etc.) then the clamp is not useful. I used the bolt-on mount so it didn't matter, but the clamp was not an option for me.
I'm using this with two 27 inch screens and they fit perfectly. The only problem I have with it is that over time you have to do some small adjustments to get them back to where you originally put them as the weight of the screens starts to pull them out of alignment. Installation was straight forward with four bolts on each screen and then configuring your method of connecting to your desk. They do have wire management. There are two USB connections that I would have preferred the cables to be black/grey instead of blue so they don't stick out so much.
There are negative reviews about this product that almost made me 2nd guess purchase. They describe this mount being top heavy. Using common sense and moving the mounting arms lower on the center arm completely remedied that, if it was even an issue in the first place. I have a 27in monitor mounted center with 19.5 in monitors mounted vertically on either side. I NEVER have had even one problem with balance. This stand is well made and does require some aggressive tightening of joints in order to secure the angles you want, but well WELL worth the price compared to other 3 mounts stands.
I have had no issues with this product. It works great with my 24 inch monitors. I occasionally switch the orientation of one of the monitors (landscape vs portrait). The change is pretty simple. The initial gas spring weight set up took a number of turns, but I have had no loosening since the setup.
Works great for large monitors. Can be used with one or two monitors. Fast, Easy installation. All the parts you'll need are included too. Weight adjustment screws work great. Cable raceways are the proper size. Cable runs on the base are a nice touch and hold the 3 allen wrenches. Also I love the two USB ports in the front. This is my favorite mounts on the market!!!
The dual monitor desk mount is pretty good. You can tighten or loosen the articulation points with an allen wrench. It has the full range of motion so maneuvering your monitors is easy. If your desk is right against the wall, assembling the C-clamp to mount to the desk can be a little challenging. I didn't utilize the USB ports so I removed the cords on the mount. Power and display cords can be routed thru the arms so you can have a cleaner look.
Carried both my moniters without problem and is very adjustable (can stretch out quite a bit from the base). Comes with 2 methods of install. You can either clamp it down with the clamp going around the back of your desk and then under (the normal way) or if that is not possible like in my case, you can just drill a hole straight down and it comes with a bracket to clamp the base down like that too. Im definitely satisfied with this purchase. I needed it to make some space on my desk and it succeeded.
Very straight forward setup/installation. All tools are provided. I didn't even realize that it came with built in USB 3.0 ports at the base until I unboxed it, very handy! Built in cable management so you don't have to Velcro strap anything. One thing to be aware of is that you will need room between your desk and the wall because of the way the arms bend, there just aren't enough swiveling joints to allow you to raise and lower the arms without giving the arms space to move. I have 24" monitors so it may be a different experience for smaller or larger monitors but something you may want to be aware of.
I was nervous about ordering this with all the challenges surrounding reviews now. I am very happy with my purchase and have zero complaints. I have one 27" monitor and one 21" monitor mounted. I used the clamp mount (it includes the clamp and a through mount if you drill a hole). The arm is stiff enough that once adjusted the monitors stay in place. I have routed the power cables and video cables through the arms for a nice clean look. I wish I had bought an arm years ago, my desk is so much more organized and clean without the stands and the cable management. I would buy this again without hesitation.
I bought this last December and wanted to give the mount a couple months before reviewing. The biggest feature is that it holds the ultrawide 49" monitors! You do need to crank the mount to it's maximum, but after it was set it's held for over 4 months now with no issues at all. Plenty of space for cables and the USB ports at the base were an added bonus I didn't expect. I went through 4 other mounts, bought and returned before I landed with this one. If you have an ultrawide, or just need an incredibly strong and well built mount, I can't recommend this one highly enough. Great product.
Got this mount right before Thanksgiving and wanted to wait a few months before I gave a review. I can say this mount is the real deal. It holds my 32" Ultra Gear QHD and my 27" ASUS 1080 gaming monitors. The LG is very heavy compared to the 27" and other mounts have failed week one. I was skeptical after returning several monitor mounts, but this truly holds up. 5 1/2 months and still going strong. This product is quality and built to last. My studio thanks you
