Disappointed in this item.

The slide on the lid where you will push it to be able to open and close it is extremely difficult to move it to the desired position. It would cause spillage and possibly burn when trying to open or close the slide.

Looks nice; goes from piping-hot to ice-cold FAST!

To say I'm disappointed with this mug would be a huge understatement. The first one I received did not keep coffee hot AT ALL. I mean within a few minutes it went from freshly-brewed, piping-hot coffee to lukewarm and then cold. Thinking it was just a fluke, like perhaps I simply got a lemon, I requested a replacement. The new one arrived the next day, and I eagerly gave it a try... Same results. From piping-hot to ice-cold in less than 30 minutes. Yes, I had the lid on tightly and, yes, I had the drinking spout closed, but it still did NOTHING to keep my coffee hot...or even warm. Unfortunately, I believe I missed the window for returning the second one; I had a lot going on at my house at the time, and in the confusion I just forgot about it. Once I finally remembered, nearly 3 months had gone by. Oh well. I do *NOT* recommend this mug.

Ceramic best for taste

I noticed how coffee tastes much better in a ceramic mug than the stainless steel mug I have used for years.

Mr. Coffee Travel Mug keeps coffee warm not hot.

I gave the Mr. Coffee Travel mug to my husband, for a Christmas stocking gift. He did not like it because it did not keep his coffee hot like other mugs he used in the past.

Cold Coffee if you Travel

This travel mug may be good for cool drinks but not for coffee. The ceramic actually cools the coffee.

The mug is top heavy and tips over easily. Also the lid does not create adequate seal. When raise the mug to drink, the lid falls out therby spilling the beverage on to you. Luckily I was drinking a cold bevarage when it happened.
