It wasn’t that easy to assemble the directions are a bit vague. The parts didn’t go together with ease. The middle arm was improperly assembled at the factory! I had to modify this piece on my own! The mechanism is a bit goofy and sags quite a bit. Overall I’m happy with it for the price.

Aleko 6.5x5 awning

This awning seems to be well made and sturdy. I gave 3 stars because of the terrible installation manual. Not detailed enough. And lots of ambiguous statements that left you scratching your head.

The awning is very nice. Unfortunately the installer did a terrible job. Do not hire the helper for an additional $350. i would have been better to hire a local carpenter for that price. The installer put it up on a 7.5' roof line and it was to low to use. It did not work and buckled in the middle. I hired a local carpenter to erect a large stand for the awning for an additional $350 attached to my home to accommodate the awning. It will look better when they come next week to install correctly.

Installation was very difficult and definitely a two person job. Additionally some of the pieces in particular the center support have been updated and need to be installed way earlier then the instructions say. I learned this the hard way and had to take it back apart. Once installed it seems to be pretty good quality

I have received the product it has not been assembled as yet, so it is hard to comment on it overall. The only issues I had was a delay of approximately one week to receive the product and I had an installer ready at the original date, but now has to wait until he is available again, I was not happy with that.

I am having a problem in that on the third time I rolled the awning, several parts broke, broken off bolt flying through the air along with a stop that ripped out of its track. I don't see a way to contact service to get this resolved. The directions are not very clear. In looking at the pictures, it may be that the motor may be on the wrong side, but it came with that already installed, the box appeared to have been previously opened and taped back up with a lot of tape. The awning cover is beautiful and seems to be pretty sturdy material.

If your favorite way to spend a weekend is putting together Ikea furniture, you will love this! I have installed Sunsetter awnings on previous homes..The price point of this product made me think that even if I have to replace it every few years, I would be better off. After spending several days on installation, I was finally finished. Unfortunately, the motor does not work. I have requested a new motor and remote. I will update this if I can get the parts to make it work.
