Multi Purpose Kitchen Island

I bought the island cabinet as a birthday / anniversary gift. It was affordable and has been serving it's intended purpose as a prep table and snack station. The true color is a butter cream shade, a definite yellow hint but I was aware of that. The base was damaged in shipping. Glad I reported it immediately. The replacement was delivered in about 7 days. Assembly was easy. Cultured top needed two to set it in place and the cheesiest part was the big drawer. I used a little wood glue to secure wood dowel pin connections then tightened the cam locks. It looks nice when completed and does add some needed storage space as well. My grade is better than average but really not quite a 4 either.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Very POOR quality and very OVERPRICED. I'm very disappointed in Overstock as this did not meet my expectations per their listing. Please see the attached photos to see our struggle and why you should NOT buy this product. The drawer came damaged which I figured I'd fix later, all of the pieces of wood came scratched up and I figured I could paint over it but then when it came to the end of assembly there are missing holes in some areas and the holes do not line up as they should in other areas. We followed each step by step slowly and yet all we have is a product that does not work and now we are at a loss of *** because customer services said there is nothing else they can do. Worst purchase I've ever made, so so very disappointed. I've built bookshelves and tons of other projects before and I've never ever experienced such poor manufacturing.

I absolutely love this kitchen island. It looks amazing and is so very solid. It looks fantastic in my kitchen. We are using it against the wall, rather than floating it in the middle of the kitchen. I do wish that the drop leaf would fold down flush with the cabinet. It sticks out quite a bit, when it is not extended out, and we had to remove it altogether to get the cabinet to look good against the wall. The side shelves are perfect for storing lesser used appliances, like a blender, and the canisters. The color is s true ivory with distressed marks on it. I did not love the hardware knobs that came with it, so we upgraded them to match our kitchen. Overall, we are very satisfied with this Island.
