Shelf is beautiful but arrive damaged with the coating worn off and missing in 6 places.

This is the second pair of these bookcases I've purchased. The first we're bought three years ago for my previous house, and I wanted a second pair for symmetry and book storage. Honestly, if you're opting for something other than bespoke carpentry, I don't think you can do better for your money.

Compact bookcase in nice color

Good folding bookcase. The color is perfect for the room, slightly dusty teal. Overall pretty sturdy, but it needed an additional screw to correct a weak joint. May have been an install issue.

Bought several of these

I ended up buying four of these shelves... two in blue and two in the antique white. They are great sturdy shelves that easily fold up, but still have lots of space for books. Best part, they come already assembled!

So gorgeous and cozy!

It was so beautiful. Came basically put together, you just had to straighten the shelves. The color is absolutely gorgeous and it is sturdy enough to hold all of my books. I adore this bookcase.

Well made and very useful

I love that this takes like 2 seconds to "assemble," that it is real wood, and that it is extremely versatile and useful. I'm sure my current use would NOT be good for a household with little climbers, but it works well for me -- I had been looking for a solution for years for an awkward bar area and this fits and was light enough for me to lift (actually lighter than the antique shelves there before). By the time I ordered this shelving unit many of the colors were out of stock, but I think this color successfully transitions the several greenish-blueish ones I have going on...

I love the bookcase, however, it arrived damaged. I was able to fix it, but the point is, I paid too much for the piece to have to do it. It looked like it had been a return and then put back in stock again. One of the reasons I kept it was that it was too big to fit in my car to take to the UPS store to return it.

Cute bookcase, however the bookcase arrived with stripped screws and two big holes like someone tried to put it together before and then returned it. Disappointed. Also disappointed in the color. Very drab looking, not nearly as bright as the photo online.

I bought this shelf to store art supplies in my bedroom. This shelf fit in with my room decor perfectly. It is beautiful and sturdy, and because it came partially assembled already, it was very fast and easy to put together. Safavieh almost never disappoints me - this little bookshelf is no exception.

The first time I received this bookcase, it arrived damaged, but Overstock sent a new one fairly quickly. It's a really nice piece that feels solid and sturdy. The design is unique and stylish, and it was easy to "assemble" -- basically just unfolding and snapping together the shelves. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful and sturdy piece of furniture. It's actually a bit larger than I was expecting, which was a nice surprise. My only issue is that the color is a darker teal as opposed to a light blue like the pictures. Easy to put together as well!

I chose this because of it's size. I had an odd space I wanted to fill. It wasn't exactly the color I was looking for, but I knew it would work. I was very pleased with it when it arrived. It was built well and able to hold a large number of my cookbooks which are quite heavy. It is very stable and I am sure will last for quite awhile.

defective and not as pictured

This would be really cute if it was in good shape and as pictured, but the one I received had large sections of paint missing and some poor construction where pieces of wood were sticking out. Also, the color is much, much darker teal than pictured in the photos. Be prepared for something like a dark greenish navy.

Great bookcase!

I wanted something with a shabby chic appearance. This bookcase does not disappoint. I was absolutely thrilled when pulling unit out of box that sides were hinged and assembled!!! Yeah, easy-Peary!!!!! I wish all furniture was like this!

Beautiful color, so-so quality, and arrived broken

Review on product itself: I expected more from Safavieh, as I have purchased several of their decorative furniture items through Overstock. however, this shelf (a gorgeous color of teal) arrived with a very poorly painted -- runs and drips of dried paint on the tops of the shelves, and the sides and undersides of the shelves more scantily painted that the tops. The paint also varied in the scrollwork, making it look like a poorly painted thrift-store find. I love the shabby chic look, but this was poorly executed. The shelf is made entirely of pine (wood) with no metal other than the hinges. The shelf would be easy to store and assemble -- the shelves are hinges and flip downward, flat. Again, the color was gorgeous., , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Review on delivery: While well-padded, the box arrived with two giant holes that went all the way through the packaging (fork-lift?) and all the shelf itself was snapped in half along the backside, through the entire body of the shelf. , ,,,,,,,,,,, , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Sadly, this color of the Natalie shelf sold out fast, and Overstock was unable to provide me with a replacement. Thinking I had a dud shelf (with the poor paint job) and poor delivery (shelf arrived broken), I would have opted for a replacement from Overstock and tried my luck again simply because the color was so beautiful. Instead, I returned the broken shelf for a credit. Overstock customer service did a great job organizing a return.
