Don't put in refridgerator

Beautiful right? Well I have only used it twice and made the mistake (didn’t know this was a thing) of putting it in the fridge with leftover pasta salad and now it is cracked in like 4 spots… oh well. It was pretty for one use, but an expensive one use.

Strange Salad Servers

Beautiful bowl, weighted and sturdy. Unfortunately not packed well and came cracked. Serving set is also strange, both the for and spoon are shaped for the right hand, it's like one of them is backwards. Not a default, the product pics show it that way.

Large Salads

This bowl is amazing! I eat large salads. It’s perf!

Good bowl

Seems well constructed and looks nice. It is wide and a good depth for easy salad tossing. I oiled it with olive oil.

Different size and color

I got this today and delivery was very fast but I was very disappointed because the color was too dark, it is different from the picture, neither the size is correct. I expected 14.25" wide but I got 12" wide. I will return it.

Great buy

This is the best buy I made this year. It's beautiful as well as functional. Super easy to toss a salad because it's huge. I had no issues with the utensils.

Best Wooden Bowl out there

Easy to clean, just rinse and dry with a towel. Nice wide-open bowl allows you to actually toss your salad so you can evenly distribute any dressing, also mix up what's in the bowl really well without it flying all over the place. The openness of the bowl creates a reasonably sized surface to work with while not really taking up much space. Pretty natural color too with some strains of earth tones found in dried bamboo. About the spoons to be used for serving or tossing, they are fine. At first I was thinking something was backwards, but you get used to it and so what, think outside of the box today. :-)

Serving utensils are awkward

This bowl is great but like another reviewer mentioned, the serving fork and spoon is awkward because they are the same. You would think they would fix this since the set has been around for so long. If the shape weren’t oblong it wouldn’t be an issue.

Really nice salda bowl!

This is a great value for a bowl of this size and quality. It's perfect for mixing and serving salad for 4 to 8 people. I don't understand the criticisms of the serving utensils as being "same handed" or "facing the same direction". Each serving utensil has a convex and concave side. Put one in each hand and turn the concave sides so they face each other....duh!

Bowl is beautiful, the utensils are flawed

All of the reviews about the salad utensils being same-handed are true. I took off 1 star for their design flaw -- they look great, but they aren't very practical. The bowl itself is very large and has natural beauty. It's great for serving or using as a fruit bowl, etc. The bowl has a nice weight to it, so it is sturdy. For my purposes, a daily salad bowl, this product was a little too heavy. It also requires towel drying after washing and oil to keep the bowl from drying out, which is for maintenance than I wanted on a daily basis.

Beautiful Enough to Leave Out!

This bowl is so cool - it's beautiful and sturdy. We make Caesar salad all the time (table side because we fancy... :) and this bowl works great. It's so pretty, we leave it as a centerpiece on our dining table.

I would buy this set again.

I ordered 2 bowls and servers and they are beautiful and a great size. I'm very pleased with them. The only negative is that one of the bowls arrived damaged. A chunk was broken out and a long split ran down into the bowl where the bamboo pieces are laminated together. It will be replaced, but I hope with use that won't be a problem.

Hell of a product

I got this sucker for slightly cheaper than the going rate now. It's worth every penny. My motivation is it was made out of bamboo and I was looking for something that would continue to look smooth and sleek for a long time and less likely to crack and split like regular wood boards. This has been a godsend for my chopped salads. Saved me a ton of money from having to go to Subway every 2-3 days.

Perfect large salad bowl!

Only issue was the serving fork and spoons were both for the same side (right hand), so it was awkward to toss the salad. Otherwise, great size to serve large salads!

Nice, large bowl

I purchased this salad bowl and tongs as a gift and it has worked out great! We googled how to take care and wash the bowl, so it will stay in the best possible condition. Easy to care for, huge bowl that's great for everyday use or parties.

I love anything that's made out of bamboo. A bowl like this is the definition of perfect for a perfect bowl of salad to put out for the guests. It's beautiful and so worth the price.
